Independence, MO is waking up to bullets flying as a home owner reportedly returns gunfire during a home invasion this morning.

KMBC: Homeowner shoots intruder during burglary, police say
KSHB: Officer Gentry said the homeowner was not injured and is cooperating with police.
Fox4: Police blocked off the area near McHenry Ave. and Truman Rd. Wednesday morning to investigate a home invasion in which someone was shot.

Burglars should stay in KCMO where they won't be shot by anti gun homeowners nor arrested by traffic cops.

Shotguns are best, despite the mess. Shootin' bullets in a neighborhood of wood-frame houses is real bad for the neighbors. You can pretty much liquify large portions of a bad person with a shotgun blast up close.
