  2. Appears Tuscons new toy train needs tow trucks to help them up hills when it rains.

  3. Should be named Taxpayer Toy Train Fix and Repair Daily Facility

  4. Let me guess taxpayers own the building since it is their money right? Kind of like all the ownership equity we all have now from bailing out the big banks 5 years ago.

  6. So, if they built a light rail system and decided against a maintenance facility, you would be in support?

You all need to read Bobby Bowden. He forwarded that one of the secrets to his success at FSU was that, he identified those who would be against him no matter what he did, and ignored them.

The concept was don't waste time on people who will be against you no matter what action you took.

Tony's swimming pool for negativity is full of these people. The only ones that listen to their bitching, are the others in the pool. In this way, they believe they are relevant, much like Tony.

And BTW, I don't support the rail.

  7. Right they ignored the public's concerns ( all those stupid citizens against everything) back when they built Fukushima's nuke plant 4:34.

  8. Bernie Madoff did pretty well for a while by ignoring people.

  9. Speaking of it how is Wolf Creek holding up? Will the toy train be the best way to escape CK if there is ever an accident?

  10. For the benefit of Mr. Kite there will be a show tonight at Third and Holmes.

The Mayor he will dance and sing
As Mr. Kite flies through the ring, don't be late

  11. They better design rental office space in that building from the start. KC voters are not going to give them any more money. The best place for this only for fun and always free trolley should be inside Worlds of Fun.

    Light Rail Now and Beyond.

  12. $114 million streetcar??? You have to be kidding. They have already spent more than that moving the gas lines in River Market.

  14. Who the heck is Kite Singleton?

  15. Kite Singleton was a great guy.
I bet he'd be AGAINST the streetcar.
There are higher priorities in KC.

  16. He was a rubber tire guy who obviously has been bought off by the streetcar cabal.

  17. Was this in the original $102m budget? In fact where are we on this original budget?

    ReplyDelete
  18. KCMO has a public works department, and they don't maintain the streets, because taking care of something you already have isn't exciting and fun or a priority for the electeds who budget and direct the money.
Why would anyone imagine that the streetcar will be any different?
And there'll be no where near enough money generated by these TDDs to even operate the thing, much less fix it. So on to the general fund.
A sucking financial chest wound for residents as far as the eye can see.
