TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL: WHO'S YOUR DADDY?!?! FACT: KANSAS CITY AUTHORITIES CAN'T SUBSTITUTE FOR FATHERS!!!

Here's the obligatory Kansas City Father's Day content amid a great many daddy issues in our local politics and culture . . .

To wit . . .

GIVEN THE ONGOING SPATE OF KANSAS CITY TEEN VIOLENCE . . . KANSAS CITY HAS FAILED BY TRYING TO PLAY DADDY TO SO MANY VIOLENT FLASH MOBBERS!!!

The knee-jerk response to this one from old-ass white guys is to attack black people . . . But a quick examination of marriage stats will reveal that DIVORCE AND BROKEN HOMES ARE NOW THE STANDARD FOR AMERICAN FAMILIES IN EVERY DEMOGRAPHIC . . .

So there really is no moral high-ground to be had when we discuss the decaying state of the American family. Still, we acknowledge that there are great many Dads out there who do their best even if they couldn't get along with their old lady which is nearly an impossible task in the aftermath of Oprah Winfrey's impact on American culture and Tina Fey's continued political henpecking.

But I digress . . .

Locally, we're confronted with a tragic fact on this weekend and nearly every other . . .

KANSAS CITY HAS FAILED TO PLAY DADDY TO VIOLENT TEENS!!!

The latest example . . .

THE MAYOR'S NIGHT'S PROGRAM TO CURB FLASH MOBBING AND PLAZA CRACKIN' IS NOW AWASH IN VIOLENCE!!!

Check this report of Mayor's Nights Disturbances and chaos from KMBC

Also . . .

THE PLAZA IS STILL POPPING OFF BECAUSE THE VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS DIDN'T LEARN ANY MATTERS FROM THEIR DADDY!!!

Last night the KCPD Chief reported several unsupervised teens on the Plaza as the teen curfew loomed.

Sadly, today . . . We have to repeat what a great many locals have said about the ongoing state of youth violence in Kansas City proper . . .

It's clear that parental responsibility is far more effective and important to creating a safe community and neither police nor a pizza/dance party provided by the Mayor will substitute for good fathers.

So you're saying there's no dad's in the trailers either? True but then you need to be more forthright about KCMO criminal hot spots.

67 pct of black kids are born out of wedlock as compared to 44 pct of Hispanics, and 25 pct of whites.

As if the ones who are born INTO wedlock are such a treat.

What did Forrest Gump say Stupid is what stupid is. Now change Stupid to black. Notice not Africa-American, because to earn that you must be born in Africa and move here.

Like the old joke. Most confusing day in the hood? Father's Day.

Blacks call each other brother because they don't know who their father is.

TKC your music selection of the day "My Father's Eyes" is ok, but aren't you overlooking the Luther Vandross classic?

Can't beat that.

On a day of caring, there are actually males that get something, not only from hating, but displaying it to other haters, that gets them off.

Pathetic.

This is a big city. We don't exactly have an out of control community and not so many arrests.

Maybe we're just inciting our readers to read and riot in here. Seems a bit overblown.
