TKC FACT CHECK: LEAWOOD LITTLE LIBRARY HOT MESS OFFERS A NICE CONVENIENT WAY FOR MIDDLE-CLASS WHITE PEOPLE TO FEEL PERSECUTED!!!

It's a tragic fact that middle-class Leawood white people might not be able to adopt a hipster trend in the most posh metro suburb.

Locals have blamed this one one oppressive authorities, building code hegemony and/or nasty neighbors.

But only one thing is clear . . .

THE LEAWOOD LITTLE LIBRARY HAS OFFERED MIDDLE-CLASS WHITE PEOPLE AN IMPORTANT WAY TO PRETEND THEY'RE BEING OPPRESSED!!!

Seriously, what's at stake here?

Moldy books?

Some white kid learning that sharing is for suckers?

Fewer resources for people who pretend to read?

This is worse than MWWS because it mistakenly leads to the impression than anything in suburbia matters.

Still, we encourage book crusaders to continue their fight.

Fact:

The Leawood Little Library Controversy Has Been The Best Fake Controversy For Local White People Since Footloose.

Meanwhile . . .

Other people in the Kansas City area have real problems.

  4. How much you want to bet that @7:04 is a white homo?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  5. Like all libraries, Little Free Libraries should be allowed, accepted and even promoted, just as literacy is promoted(and reading ANYTHING for pleasure)... Leawood needs to change their weird ordinance and make the 'burb better.

  6. Peggy Dunn--embarrassed yet? If Little Free Libraries were built by J.E.Dunn, there'd be NO problem!!
Leawood should be more book=friendly and decent!! ALL BURBS/CITIES SHOULD.

  7. Is there a kid in Leawood without a house full of books? And how many darn books does a kid need anyway? It's summer, go do something outside!

    Mr. Tony,
Oh dear! I am hopping out to the front of my house and yanking out my petite library. I surely didn't know that I was oppressing my neighbors with sharing my magazines, WSJ, books and some small kid items like flash cards.

  10. This is a white problem in a white area.

You can tell, because there is not trillions, yes trillions of dollars being wasted on trying to teach apes to read, no smell of cordite, no dead bodies, no screaming that there will be "No justice no peace".

This is koolaide stand news from a time that is soon to be gone.

    Enjoy.

  11. The problem is the lack of community centers and midnight basketball so kids who are pressured into the Little Free Library Life can find a way out.

    Dear 6:17 comment,

Thank you for your feedback. Based upon your suggestion, the City of Leawood will be implementing a youth-oriented community center with extended summer hours, including "Mayor Peggy's Midnight Basketball."

So as not to force our young people into the "Little Free Library" lifestyle, we will be offering classes such as:

Saggy Pants Are The New Down Low

Proper Maintenance Of Your Personal Firearm

Marijuana And Mushrooms, Mother Nature's Gift

    Nobody Likes A Snitch

Possession Is Nine-Tenths Of The Law

    Graffiti: Finding The Artist Within

We sincerely hope your family will avail themselves of this opportunity, as we partner with our neighbors to become stakeholders in a more diverse community.

    Thank you again.
