TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! SPRING RAIN SHUTS DOWN KANSAS CITY STREETS AMID OLD AND BUSTED WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM FLOODING!!!

Kansas City learned about the flooding on local streets amid generally light spring rain FIRST on TKC last night.

Right now we have more confirmation and EXCLUSIVE news . . .

STREETS THROUGHOUT KANSAS CITY ARE SHUT DOWN THIS MORNING THANKS TO OUR OLD AND BUSTED SEWER, WATER AND STORM DRAIN SYSTEM!!!

More . . .

ON THE WESTSIDE AND THROUGHOUT MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY THE (LIGHT) RAIN IS FLOODING AND SHUTTING DOWN AT LEAST A DOZEN STREETS!!!

One more . . .

PARTS OF SOUTHWEST TRAFFICWAY ARE SHUT DOWN AND A GREAT DEAL OF THE BOULEVARD HAS BEEN UNDERWATER SINCE LAST NIGHT!!!

In our relentless pursuit of the scoop we decided to take some pix . . . Also, because it was on the way home from getting gas station coffee . . . Despite a tragic detour . . .

That's right, we nearly drowned in order to bring you d-bags FIRST news . . .

Funny thing . . . They just finished fixing this bridge at a cost of MILLIONS not even two years ago . .

This scene is being repeated throughout Kansas City as our water infrastructure is CLEARLY BROKEN despite so much cash going toward the toy train streetcar.

And here's why it all sucks so badly . . .

- Kansas City Keeps Raising Taxes For Water And Sewer

- Water Bills Around Kansas City Are Spiking At Record Levels

- Still . . . The Local Water And Sewer System IS CLEARLY Worsening GIVEN That Light Spring Rain Has Put So Many Streets Underwater

- Finally . . . Mayor And City Council STILL REFUSE To Let Missouri Audit The Water Department Despite Some Serious Signs Of Mismanagement.

This is a REAL PROBLEM not just TKC gripping . . . We expect other newsie outlets to come on board with this one . . . Given that it's raining in JoCo too BUT they don't need scuba gear or a canoe like KCMO residents.

Developing . . .

  20. Tony:

What do you call a person who hates, dislikes everything about where they live, including government, business, and people who have a different faith or skin color AND yet continue to live where they are and spent time on a stupid blog complaining about their lot in life.

    Answer, VICTIMS.

Someone smarter than I said we all have the choice to either be a director of our destiny or a victim.

    Point being, it's your choice.

Damn snivelers. Hurry, get a picture of a local woman who your group can disparage and disrespect while demeaning (ironically) those who are without the same point of view.

    Friggin losers.

    RAINDROPS
    by A. Nony Mous

    Raindrops
Gift of life from heavens above
Falling earthward in droplets of love
While adults scurry and run for cover
Children delight in their alluvial lover.

    Cleansing the soul
    In a baptism from nature
    Renewing their faith
    To praise all living creatures.

    Be it sprinkles or downpours
    Remember something
    A raindrop is love
    And love's a good thing!

  25. Hm, I wonder why someone would get so defensive over streets flooding? Perhaps it could be because they are on the transportation committee and have diverted sewer, bridge, and road money away from crumbling neighborhoods in order to build boutique transit in downtown KC?

There are at least a half dozen spots in Northeast that are flooding; some of them have been in disrepair for decades.

"A home for negative people who take enjoyment by standing in judgement of others wh have opposing views. Plenty of space for misogynists, racists, supremacists, and haters that find fault in EVERYTHING. As a bonus, you don't even have to identify yourself, so cowardness is accommodated.
