SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY MOM FACES MÜNCHAUSEN BY PROXY SYNDROME ALLEGATIONS AMID HOSPITAL MEDICAL DRAMA CUSTODY BATTLE FOR HER SON!!!

Check this Kansas City story that reminds us to remain distrustful of the medical industrial complex . . .

National media have put the sordid story of a Kansas City mom's custody battle on blast and it's surprising that local media haven't offered much coverage . . . Soooooo our blog community wanted to note this important custody battle in the age of Obamacare.

Check it:

NATIONAL NEWS CONTROVERSY: A KANSAS CITY MOM WHO HAD HER SON TAKEN AWAY IN A DISPUTE WITH A CHICAGO HOSPITAL!!!

Check it:

"The staff alleged that Michelle Rider, of Kansas City, Mo., exhibited hallmark characteristics of Munchausen by proxy syndrome, also called "medical child abuse" — a rare condition in which a caregiver subjects a minor to unnecessary medical procedures."

Definition of terms . . . Münchausen syndrome by proxy . . . Yes, yes, just like in the Sixth Sense.

More . . .

"The boy has since been placed in a Chicago-area foster home and is still in temporary custody of DCFS as Rider battles the Cook County court’s Child Protection Division to prove she is a fit parent . . .

“They just made up bogus allegations to defend their actions because they didn’t want to transfer my son,” Rider said of Lurie Children’s Hospital. “They even told Boston Children’s Hospital that my son was getting better, which just isn’t true.”

The mother adamantly denied the allegations of “medical child abuse” saying there are records of her son’s symptoms continuing even after the hospital took custody of him."

Seriously, scary story that's interesting to read about before they make it into a pay cable movie with Laura Linney.

  1. So is the lesson here that Obamacare will steal your kids? I trust the tribune account more than the Blaze. Seems like this story is kind of a Lifetime TV network worst case scenario.

  6. Indeed, you self-righteous ass hats are so hypocritical. You don't "mind it" when the government tells a woman what to do with her body, or tells us what religion to believe in and what flag to sing to....go fuck yourselves. You have none of the answers to life, and no one on this left-leaning blog will be persuaded by anything you have to say.

  8. If that happened in Kansas a few years ago, the fiends Tiller and Sebelius would have just dined on the kid and sent Mom back to MO empty handed.

  9. I heard they took the baby away because the lady wanted to live in a city with rail transit like everywhere else, which endangered the baby because streetcars are proven to kill children in their backyards by Cherry Dejanes Paddy Tooley Dan Coffeehouse and Uncle Rexroth. All of brookside agrees. 100% of them.

  10. The mother has the hospitals and doctors by the nuts, and she knows it.
She can say anything that she wants about this and they are forbidden by law to say anything about the kid's health.
That mother is a smart cookie. She'll get a big fucking payday out of this.

  14. Government workers are preying on children and distraught families for profit. For this child alone, $10,000 each month of taxpayer money is being provided to the bureaucracy, while the family is being drained of their emotional and financial resources trying to fight them. This boy wants to go home with his mother in Kanas City, but it's possible the state of Illinois could keep him until he's 21. All because the hospital didn't have a clue after performing surgery, his mother was having difficulty seeing him suffer and trying to get him the best care possible.

Former Senator Nancy Schaefer was fighting to make Child Protective Services accountable for their actions when she and her husband were found murdered in their bed.
Some quotes from Nancy's video-taped speech below are:

"The Department of Child Protective Services has become a protected empire bent on taking children and separating families."
She was concerned with "children and parents caught up in legal kidnapping."

"Case workers and social workers are very often guilty of fraud. They withhold and destroy evidence, fabricate evidence and seek to terminate parental rights unnecessarily. That the separation of families and the snatching of children is growing as the business grows because state and local governments have grown accustomed to having these taxpayer dollars to balance their ever-growing budgets. That the bureaucracy is huge. Look who is getting paid: state employees, attorneys, court investigators, guardian ad litems, court personnel and judges. There are psychologists, counselors, foster parents, adoptive parents and on and on. All are looking to the children in state custody to provide job security."
A bill was passed which "offers cash bonuses to Child Protective Services who would need more children. They must have merchandise that sells and they must have children so the buyer can choose. Employees work to keep the federal dollars flowing."
