TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY FOOD SHARING ORDINANCE WILL CRACK DOWN ON HELP FOR HOBOS!!!

There are tens of thousands of homeless veterans on the streets of this nation ... Many homeless Vets reside in Kansas City.

John Rambo and homies often need the kindness of strangers and now Kansas City is going to make that help harder to get.

To wit . . .

CHECK YET ANOTHER CITY HALL ORDINANCE AIMED AT CRACKING DOWN ON THOSE WHO SERVE THE HOMELESS IN KANSAS CITY!!!

Ordinance #140412: Amending Chapter 30, Code of Ordinances, by repealing Section 30-73, Permits, and enacting in lieu thereof a new Section 30-73 of like title and subject matter to add food sharing permits to the Kansas City, Missouri Food Code for the purpose of protecting all recipients of food items; amending Section 30-701(b) by adding a new Section 30-701(b)(45) to require compliance with all laws; directing the City Manager to coordinate training and educational workshops with the Homeless Services Coalition of Greater Kansas City and to facilitate connections between Food Sharing permittees and neighborhood associations; and establishing an effective date.

Translation . . . This is a way to regulate charity and kindness in Kansas City and this will make it basically make it an offense to throw hobos in the street a sandwich . . . Like it or not, today it's important to realize that more than a few of those hobos are veterans.

And so, while politicos in Kansas City love to talk a big game about supporting veterans . . . The fact is, on the ground level it's clear that KCMO makes it harder for the people of this town to interact with one another and help Vets with food. On the bright side, money still works even if many don't like giving cash because it could be spent on drugs or booze . . . Even if everybody is entitled to a drink every now and then.

Developing . . .

  3. I give people at stoplights money all the time. I know it is going for booze, but whadya gonna do?

The poor fuckers got zilch and booze makes them happy for a while.

  4. Knowing how the City Hall GRIFTERS operate, one would have to believe..... that some of the organizations the City Grifters are attempting to "legislate" out of business..... are cutting into someone's "cash cow".

Wonder who is on the take at one of the existing 501-3c's ? Probably set up by George Guestello.

501-3c's are very protective of their "sacred cow's" and don't like competition for that "free money". Therefore, another city ordinance.

Don't fuck with that free money trough.

  6. When your city has a ordinance to prevent people from giving food to those in need, that city is fucked up.

But then we knew KC was fucked up.

  7. Unbelievable big government! Every aspect of life is either regulated, monitored, or controlled by some level of government. Land of the free - not anymore!

  8. ...another not so well thought out KC ordinance authored with arrogance and with full knowledge that there is absolutely no accountability at city hall. Why the fuck is it that bureaucrats appear to never achieve anything until they are fucking with ordinary citizens expecting the tax payers to do all the work????? Why is there this assumption that we created government because we needed entities to supervise us??? People need to start voting and using their votes to punish some of these ass hole or things are just going to continue to get worse. Do we really think the risk of handing a sandwich to someone who has not had a square meal in days is a public health concern that requires cutting of his sandwiches? Maybe a few bureaucrats need to get hungry and see how it works for them.

  10. Just an f.y.I.... Many of those at the stop lights... NOT HOMELESS... True homeless, take a sandwich over booze any day. KC news followed few, caddies, jock homes, called entrepreneurs. Only 2 vets, regularly flya sign and 1 gives all he gets to drug free, working, struggling single parent families. I'm Jennifer. Not anomymus.

  12. If any of you had a clue, you'd know that this is directed at the suburban do-gooders who drive through the hood passing out food and creating messes for the affected neighborhoods.

  13. As a business owner in the West Bottoms this is about Overland Park dipshits coming over and enabling the criminal element to continue their antics of robbing my customers and shitting on the sidewalks. If they are hungry vets they can go to the City Union Mission. You can't drink at the Mission so they stay under the 670 bridge. If you want to help people give to the City Union Mission, not the shitbag on the street.

John Q. Public: Sorry friend, I don't have the required permits from the city.

    Mr.Tony,
This is not thoughtful, caring legislation.
No, this is fearful and faithless living.
Feeding a hungry resident is the lest that we can do to keep on the right side of goodness.
Mr. Tony, who is the sponsor of this hateful ordinance? Who on this council, making in excess of $65,000 of our tax money, thinks that it is okay to bureaucratize a single source agency? This ordinance guarantees tax dollars to this agency until the ordinance is repealed.
Mr. Tony, this is just another idea presented raw, half baked and then shoved down the thoughts of our hungry citizens.

This council is headed by a silly, disingenuous mayor. Time for all good candidates from previous mayoral races to step forward.

Yes, there is SOME REASONING behind this law, but the potential for food borne illness does not outweigh the need to feed. Unless there is a huge amount of tax dollars set aside for training and followup inspections then this law should be scrapped. The training and inspections must be available beyond regular city hall business hours.

Mr. Tony, make that throats of hungry...

I do not give money to people hanging around street corners. Homeless vet? Father of 3 out of work? Marching band? Youth activity members? Who knows?

Find a charity that you know and trust, then volunteer time and money.

  18. You city hall clowns are making it a crime to give a bum a handout?

Who do you think you are, the goddamned Fourth Reich?

  19. Kaufman Foundation is City Hall. It's true under Stalin you could be executed criticizing someone who criticizes Stalin as it is a position of authority over the power to do so. That said, we will all be hauled off and shot before it's all over with anyway so fuck the Kaufman Foundation!!!

  20. I'm just a bum trying to get a sandwich! Just asking for a dry place to sleep and a place to shit. I'm trying to stay out of your fucking way. Would you like us to hang ourselves off the Railroad Bridge so you can see us dangle during rush hour? Do you like fishing us out at Sugar Creek a month after we jumped from the Kit Bond Bridge Of The Americas? Give us a break and stop standing on our fucking necks! It's fucking miserable down here and looking at you and your smug glare at the stoplights is no bed of roses! Just be glad I'm not washing your stupid fucking car windows like you were back in Mexico City.

  22. I have dined at the Carlisle Hotel in New York with Henry Kissinger and Nelson Rockefeller at the next table. I have slept in the beds at KC Rescue Mission, City Union Mission and restart. I have waited on the people to bring food to the street corner and I swear it was better than the Hotel Carlisle. Feed the hungry anyway possible. They appreciate it
