SHOW ME THIS WEEK'S KANSAS CITY ANTI-GUN PUSH ALL FOR NAUGHT?!?!

This week, when he wasn't giving away tax incentives Mayor Sly spent most of his time in Jeff City challenging a controversial bill that would crack down on any gun control from the feds.

KMOX Last Night: Missouri Senate Passes Controversial Gun Nullification Bill

And so . . .

CLEARLY MAYOR SLY DIDN'T HAVE MUCH INFLUENCE ON THE REPUBLICAN DOMINATED MISSOURI GENERAL ASSEMBLY!!!

Here's a perspective from a Kansas City Insider . . .

"The Mayor's stunt this week was such a waste of time. He had absolutely zero impact on the Republican lawmakers in Jeff City who listened politely and then pushed the bill right along. What's more disappointing is that Mayor Sly James traveled to Jeff City when there's so much more important work against gun violence he could be doing here."

  4. Tony, tell your insider that $ly James only cares about advancing his own career and looking like a big shot.

If he cared about gun violence he'd probably take accountability for something like the random highway shootings and Zoo free day shoots fired.

But he doesn't. He plays with his twitter and the streetcar and the airport.

    World class.

  5. Maybe the acoustics in the basement where they let Sly give his speech were bad and no one heard him.
Of course, maybe he was heard, but no one paid any attention.
And if anyone in KCMO paid any attention to the antics at 12th and Oak, they wouldn't believe a word that was said either.

  6. So how many Police Officers are being taken off the street to babysit the feral "inner city" youth that will be attending these "Mayor's nights" ? and why, I amd still trying to figure out why taxpayers are being held responsible for these little animals. Why do I have to pay to entertain and babysit them? shouldn't their guardian be footing the bill for this?

  8. We can thank The American Legislation Exchange Council (ALEC) for averting a citywide General Strike today in Kansas City during May Day. Thanks to the Bipolar nature of organized labor in the presence of ALEC in the city tomorrow, May 2nd. -Thank You, Black Block

  11. So we had a mostly symbolic protest against a mostly symbolic impotent bill and for weeks the not so symbolic tax payers have been paying this pack of politician jackasses to accomplish absolutely nothing. Meanwhile the list of shit that should have been worked out goes on.....
