Truman Days is kinda subdued this year because local Democratic Party elite denizens are having a harder time raising money amid the new Obama economy.
Nevertheless . . . Right now Truman Days is raging. They're handing out awards, Congressman Cleaver gave a rousing speech to start the day and pretty much all the schmoozing among Democrats is happening @ this location.

More often then not over the past couple of years, unions haves supported the GOP and found a few favorites on which they can rely . . . Example . . . Behind the scenes Missouri Unions basically sold out popular Democrats causes in just about every way in order to keep "right to work" off the table. Forget what you know about partisan allegiance in Jeff City . . . It's just chatter to keep dues rolling in and give newsies something to write.

ReplyDeleteGeorgia Sanders won the "tacky dress of the night award." First of all honey, you do not have the legs to wear something like that. Second, you really need to concede you are not 15 years old anymore and so you have no need for a "Homecoming Dance" outfit. With the exception of the absolutely unshapely legs you have a nice body but Georgia you need to buy some womanly dresses and suits. That does not mean short hemlines, like you thought it meant when you were 15. The cheap highlight job should go too. Georgia your hair looked "damaged" not "done."
