Kansas City Ruckus Retrofitting

It looks like KCPT is getting ready to tinker with Kansas City's best left vs. right political talk show. Ruckus will go into turnaround during the Summer and might soon come back with more guests and a social media component i.e. the twitter scroll that cable TV news has been using for the past 5 years.

Locals Kansas City political insiders are focusing most of the blame for the change up on Mary O'Halloran And Gwen Grant . . . Even if TKC thinks they would make a pretty great stars of buddy movie action/comedy.

The effort to lure younger viewers is interesting but hasn't really worked for most of Kansas City's other political efforts when there's not a consultant contract attached to the deal . . . Still . . . It'll be something new to ignore on Facebook.

Here's tonight's show in the old school format that we all know and love:

Topics include:

- Kansas City Airport Reax From The Ruckettes

- Kansas Gov. Brownback Debate

- Show-Me The Affirmative Action Debate

- Zoo Free Day Discussion - Mike Shanin "It's harder to get into the Zoo than it is to vote."

- Kansas City Urban Density Delusions

- Roasts and Toasts is always great and a favorite part of the program for most that KCPT will probably kill.

And so, this discourse in Kansas City continues to change even if voter turnout declines.

  1. Look for set decorations and a few more locals. The twitter scroll prediction was right on. Check KCPT's feed and you'll already see the preview.

  2. Will they ever discuss their views on unsolicited bulk email?

  3. Get rid of Shanin for starters.

Make Yael get a haircut and trim. Gwen - pick one wig and wear it for the season. Mary, no more turtle necks. Woody, if you're so damned smart, what are you doing on this program? Steve M. tell everyone that the local Catholic Church is your biggest client. Steve Rose, no one cares. Never did. Never will. R. Crosby? Stick with the Library. You don't need this gig.

When they start over, go with a group of Wild Cards! Rev. Jerry Johnson. Dwight Sutherland. Tracy Thomas. David Morrison. Hearne Christopher. John Altevogt. Carol Marinovitch. And Dennis Moore to sing a theme song.

  4. They will replace Gwen with her much more politically connected brother and nobody will be able to tell the difference.

  5. watching ruckus is like watching 4 retards discuss various forms of masturbation.

    Total waste

  6. After the Chihuahua Parade on Saturday, Cinco de Mayo, and 8 shootings over the weekend, the Bear was really constipated.

Therefore, again this week during RUKUS, the Bear did another colon cleanse. Wow...did that ever feel good when it blew. It happened about the same time Gwen Grant was talking. Fantastic timing on one of the best shits ever.

  7. Shanin is one hideously ugly mug.

  8. ROAST: Host Mike Shanin for misspelling Ann "Murgia".....when it's actually Murguia.

TOAST: Yael for making great strides in properly modulating his voice, eliminating the wild hand gesticulations, and facial contortions. Your viewpoint remains too liberal, but your communication is more effective.

  9. Hearne Christopher now there is an idiot who would fit right in with the rest of the retards

  10. I think Tony would be great on the show.
Clearly, degenerates like us will keep that from happening.

    Thanks for your sacrifice, tony.

  11. I am pretty sure that if this group had the authority to make programming decisions, KCPT would thrive beyond expectations.

    RIGHT.

  12. WHEN LIBERALS SPEAK!!

Dear viewers, did you catch the most enlightening portion of today's RUCKUS? The brief moment in the space/time continuum when panelist Mary O'Halloran showed her true colors?

Fast-forward to the Affirmative Action topic at the 11:45 mark, in which Mary says:

"I have to reveal, I'm a person who benefited from affirmative action. I was the Regional Administrator for the U.S. Department of Energy. There were nine others in the country, they were all men. I KNOW that I was selected mostly, to great extent rather I should say, because we needed some women to serve. Secondly, I used affirmative action when I made appointments."

So, here we have Ms. O'Halloran admitting, in a confessional of sorts, that she was appointed to her work position based MOSTLY upon her female gender ..."because we needed some women to serve." Of course, she doesn't explain who the "we" is, nor why they "needed some women to serve."

This is one of the great fallacies of liberalism! While enriching yourself with the bureaucracy's special rules, you simultaneously heap scorn and derision upon those who seek to promote a free market in which individuals are responsible for themselves. And the affirmative action liberal never stops to consider the plight of the other, more qualified applicant, who is denied promotion and denied the ability to better provide for their family.

The LIBERAL says, "when I cut in line to get better benefits than what I'm normally due, it's all well and good."

  13. I WISH Tony would make his comments SHORTER. Too wordy!

And then post SEPARATE issues for each of your ITEMS--not all thrown in together on single posts!

ISSUES MORE SEPARATE so we can comment on each one! MAKE ISSUES POSTED ALONE. Thanks T!

  14. Ruckus is a chuckle-fest. Same old faces and bringing in more of the usual suspects isn't gong to help.

  15. And you're an idiot Radioman who like many in this town is a nobody who thinks he is somebody.

    ReplyDelete
  16. BEST OF THE WEB

HAHAHAHAHA fuck dude, you related to Glazer by chance? You're sure full of yourself like he is. Easy to see why you're a former and still a nobody.

I would prefer more titays please!

  18. KCPT should leave it alone.

    Younger viewers?
That means the Crossroads gets talked about on every show.
Always easier to talk about "art" and go for youth, than debate actual issues.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mike Shanin is the one who makes the show unwatchable. R.Crosby needs to stick with the library. Gwen Grant the one who exhibits the best political values, even though in real life she's a pain in the ass. Get an educated young person or two on there, and a better host.

    +1

Tony should have got Jubilani what the fuck's gig, but he would kick ass on "Ruckus".

He was great on the radio. I didn't agree with much but...

  21. KCUR will regret not putting Tony on in the afternoon.

    They just suck every day.

    Every day.

  22. Someone needs to ask Gwen Grant why she works so hard to convince residents of the black community to not cooperate with the police, even when 85+% of the murders continue to take place in their neighborhoods.
And a public audit of where the Urban League money comes from and where it goes wouldn't hurt either.
It's always interesting to see who funds what and then ask why.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Gwen Grants a tranny with realy bad wigs.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary O. needs to go. I agree with many of the positions she takes, but she is obnoxious, disorganized, interrupts and talks over the other Ruckettes, and suffers from delusions of grandeur and advanced logorrhea. I'm surprised Mike hasn't resorted to using a tranquilizer dart gun on her--yet.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The show is really "Uckus".
For those who want to waste their time.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Shanin is a smug know-it-all. I'm surprised no one has commented on his condescending attitude toward women. He would never cut-off Woody the way he does Gwen and Mary.

Want a younger demographic? Dump the Grump!

    ReplyDelete
  27. He HAS to cut off Mary. She'd never shut up otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mike used to be Mary's employee when she ran the EPA here. I'll bet he never treated her that way 30+ years ago. Does anyone know if he was a misogynist then?

    ReplyDelete
  29. No,he wasent. He ate her pussy, on command.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 4:14: You think he treats her badly? Misogynist? I'd say he bends over backward in order to be nice to her when what he should be saying is STFU, bitch.

4:54: I don't think Mary goes for guys.
