Just in case you were wondering about how the Kansas City E-Tax is spent . . .
KC Biz Journal: "Burns & McDonnell will receive about $41.8 million in abatements through the city’s Chapter 100 bonds and about $41.9 million in tax increment financing. The project’s total cost is $139.5 million."
And so in the aftermath of an election school story that our TKC BLOG COMMUNITY reported before anybody else, the lesson here is that Burns & Mac own Kansas City's political establishment including Mayor Sly and anybody else planning to run.

ReplyDeleteAND encouraing neighborhoods to form CIDs, which are nothing more than raising taxes on themselves for the basic services that the city should be providing, but doesn't because they have better ways to sepnd our money.
