A few observations on local coverage . . .
- Newspaper has been irrelevant in this disaster and it's really TV News that dominates this disaster scene. KCTV5 has been first with all of the newsie details while Fox4 wins the human interest angle and KSHB scores with community perspective.
- Radio talkers repeat themselves too much but there have been a few important moments.
- As the news aspect of this shooting slows down, we're now moving toward the sentimental aspect of this story which preceeds some of the court coverage that should come as charges are soon to be filed.

6:26 it's real simple. HATE CRIME committed by a white man. That is what the media loves. It gives them cover so when they report on a black crime they can't get the "racist media" tag.
ReplyDeleteNotice it took all of 6 hours for this to become a hate crime. How is this a hate crime when two Methodist and a Catholic were killed? Granted, the gunman is a total nut job.
No, if a white person kills a black it is a "hate crime". If a black or a group of blacks kidnap, torture, and kill whites that's just another run of the mill crime. That's reality today. I guess that makes me a racist huh ? Well, fuck you if you try and say that !

Tony perpetuates this swirling hateful discourse because it gives him some (sadly) sense of purpose. It really is just need for attention.
HATE is just that. Deal with that, and you will begin to be better that those who you are so angry at.

This is true, yet one would think that an individual who was captured in Ozark, MO in a trailer full of illegal weapons, explosives including C-4, hand grenades, etc., and with a decades long history of KKK affiliation and an expressed desire to overthrow the U.S. government....would serve more than THREE years before being released and then financially supported by Uncle Sam!!!!!!
Don't forget, he was in government's witness protection program. That's probably why he's got these two different names.
