Kansas City Scholars Learn New Digital Media

KC Creative Crossorads offers encouraging news that EVERYBODY is going to be a trained blogger in the future: Grant Creates Digital Media Lab for the Kansas City Public Library

"A new grant from the Kansas City Digital Inclusion Fund will allow KC youth the opportunity to learn computer skills through the KC Public Library. Two learning labs in the KC Library’s Southeast and North-East branches will be created through a $94,800 grant in order to “promote computer and Internet accessibility and literacy,” for youth between the ages of eight and 18."

All those kiddies need to know how to read, write and type before they can become computer literate.

All evidence suggests that many lack these prerequisites. We have a cart-before-the-horse problem here.
