KCTV5 offers this story of redemption for local mutts that would have been (mercifully) put down in any other metro area that wasn't so concerned with canine well-being: Dogs that were bred to fight are fighting for a second chance one year after their former owners were arrested for running a dog fighting ring.

God almighty, let's get real here. Dogs are not humans. A dog that's bred and trained to be vicious needs to be euthanized ASAP. Rehabilitation? Give me a fricking break! You can argue about whether vicious humans should be executed. There are no grounds at all for suggesting "rehabilitation" of killer dogs. Exterminate the sons of bitches. And while you're at it, spay or castrate and imprison their owners and trainers.
