Craig Talks KCMO Comedy Rush Hour

TKC Note: Our pal Craig offers us a glimpse @ His weekend plans . . .

Rush Hour Comedy Weekend

Something different for Easter Weekend. We in Kansas City have a rare opportunity to see one of Hollywood’s biggest film and comedy stars up close and personal. The star of the ‘Rush Hour’ movies, ‘Friday’, the Oscar nominated ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, ‘The Fifth Element’ with Bruce Willis, and even ‘Dead Presidents’; Chris Tucker has chosen Kansas City and Stanford and Sons as one of four stops to work out material for new HBO special. Chris bolted onto the Hollywood scene in his smash hit ‘Rush Hour’ franchise in which he co-starred with Jackie Chan. Tucker did so well with the series that it made him one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors.

Chris is still relatively young in his early 40’s and is preparing for another HBO special as well as one last ‘Rush Hour’ movie and a final ‘Friday’ movie in the works as well. Almost forgotten is the fact that Chris Tucker started his career as a blazing hot stand-up comic which led to his opportunity to star in several major motion pictures. Take this holiday weekend, if you are a Chris Tucker fan, to see him up close and personal; he does meet-and-greets after the show and does take photos with fans.

Next week, Stanfords provides two television stars together for the first time. Todd Bridges, best known as ‘Willis’ from the ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ TV series as well as recurring appearances in shows like ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ and Tru TV’s ‘World’s Dumbest’ and in movies like Adam Sandler’s ‘That’s My Boy’, will make his first appearance at Stanford & Sons Comedy Club alongside Julie McCullough from TV’s ‘Growing Pains’ and a recent appearance in the Sci-Fi channel’s ‘Sharknado’. Julie also appeared in ‘Playboy’ and provided a voice in the movie ‘Ice Age’. See them both together next week at Stanford’s Wednesday through Saturday.

Call (913)400-7500 to get tickets for any of these shows or go online at http://stanfordscomedyclub.com . Enjoy your weekend.

  8. Just what every human wants to see in the morning (or anytime actually) is a fucking, scowling nigger. No, we could all do without that coon's frowning maw gaping across the screen. Shut up nigger, and save your angry expression for your pit bull.

  11. FYI GLAZE

With your addition to tkc the numbers of readers has exploded.
You have taken a small but news
filled site and made it a powerhouse in the city.
If you read any reliable website count numbers tkc is rolling like never before.
    In fact, its closest competitor
run by a "journalist" is losing
reader and is down by at
    least 24%!
congrats to your stories. We may
not always agree but you have
    made this site grow dramatically
    and just completely destroy
    kcc.
    Ithink the difference is that
kc wants news and the news stations are not covering stories of interest to the general public.
KCC is more geared to a 65 plus
audience and they are dying off.
    KCC is just a toy.
Keep up the good work tony and
thanks from the jewish community for your continued recent coverage of the jcc shootings.
When other media were not presenting worthwhile stories
of interest to us in the community, Tony was the tops!
Notice the numbers of comments on recent stories...many well over 150!

  12. This picture is horrible. Why is he wearing all white? Is he trying to be angel or something? Is this what he will wear when his time has passed here on this earth?

A big picture of a head and a cross necklace. Gee, thanks.

  13. The sequel to "Friday" called "Friday after next" had to be written by some learning impaired people. That movie is horrible. It ranks up there with Corky Ramano.

  15. Sorry I was late to the party on these comments. The one about helping Tonys numbers, thank you. Iike to entertain and give advice from my life of ups and downs, I think some hits home. Overall I have enjoyed the ride. Thank you. Tucker was one of the best. He was better than I expected, just great. Sold out on Easter weekend with short notice a true star, looked fantastic too.
