Connecting For Good Hopes To Bridge The Kansas City Digital Divide!!!

Take a look at this local tech effort aimed at providing Internets access to this town's neediest . . .

How We Plan to Close the Digital Divide in 2014

Deets:

"2014 is the year that Connecting for Good will begin working with local partner organizations and people who live in these communities to extend the reach of the Kansas City Freedom Network. The model we plan to use is an Internet co-operative, not unlike a food co-op, where members build and own their piece of the network. We will seek some outside funding to build the infrastructure but we are looking for significant involvement from those who will ultimately become end users of this service. An educational effort, in partnership with the Free Network Foundation, will be an important part of this effort as we equip local residents, including teens, to be a part of the building process. While this is a very unique model, we believe it is the one that has the greatest probability for long-term sustainability. This model is being executed successfully around the world, especially in places like Spain, Germany, Greece and Argentina."

  2. "The digital divide"? Call it what it is: A class division. America hates its poor & they don't care if they have internet access or food.

  3. Yes, because internet access is an inalienable right...just like cell phones. Funny, because I'm pretty sure I work to pay for both. Fuck you Byron.

  4. Fuck you, asshole.

You work for money, just like a prostitute. If you don't want to pay taxes, then stop stealing wages.

  5. No Byron, I steal mine. Like you!

  6. You make no sense. I have a job and that makes me a prostitute and a wage thief? When did I ever say I don't want to pay taxes? You really are brilliant aren't you?
