Tidbit worth noting from the weekend . . .
EVEN THE RAIN ON SATURDAY NIGHT COULDN'T DISPERSE FLASH MOBBING TEENS FROM THE COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA!!!
After the fashion show I caught the bus down to Winstead's to grab a burger and noticed teens huddled together to avoid the rain and cooks forced to shoo them away . . .
A quick jaunt through the embattled entertainment zone revealed wayward teens in every corner of the Plaza taking shelter from the rain and avoiding the police.
There are reports of a couple of fights and a few arrests as KCPD ARE TRAGICALLY FORCED TO PLAY BABYSITTER TO VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS BECAUSE PARENTS ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND . . . Most of the trouble centered around 47th street and Mill Creek Park according to several messages that have been sent our way and what we noticed on the East side of Broadway.
And here's the takeaway . . .
IF RAIN AND A POLICE CRACKDOWN DOESN'T KEEP VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS OFF THE PLAZA THE FORECAST FOR WARMER WEEKENDS DOESN'T LOOK GOOD!!!

Sadly, the Black teen problem, really the Black parenting problem will worsen as the parents are lazy do-nothings who exist to drink and smoke and their children only get in the way of their happiness. Then, they'll post on facebook how proud that their kid actually acoomplished something other than destruction with out any help whatsoever from their parents. While I acknowledge that succeeding in that environment is a feet, these children are permanently lost without positive leadership and proper rearing. Too bad. They can't all be saved. This isn't a race issue.

ReplyDeleteBut that's not what's been going on the Plaza.
Forcing families off sidewalks into the streets, pounding on the hoods of cars stopped at traffic lights, throwing stones at the police, and taking over parts of restaurants with behavior and language that forces other customers to leave is not anyone's right.
And most of it is against the law.
And breaking the law should have consequences, regardless of the excuses from the usual suspects in the civil rights industrial complex or the hand-wringing do-gooders. And the sooner young people learn civil behavior when they're in public places, maybe the less chance that their behavior becomes even worse as they get older.
And if the folks elected to govern KCMO don't have the guts to provide safe public places, there's little question that the people with all the money invested in the Plaza will do so themselves.
Well good lets just send all our niggers to go live in Byrons neighborhood.

ReplyDeleteUntil this city is willing to do what must be done, permanent YEAR ROUND curfew with STRICT legal repercussions for violators and their parents, the problem is only going to get worse.
ReplyDeleteThe problem, outside of deadbeat parenting, is that city officials are too spineless to stand up to certain minority leaders who always cry "race", went talk surfaces about a curfew.
I keep asking, what business does anyone under the age of 18, hell, 21, of ANY race, have on the Plaza without adult supervision? They can't afford to do anything down there (outside of maybe the movie theater). So why must they be there?
Like I said, until city officials grow a set of testicles and become willing to do what must be done to really solve the problem, it's just going to get worse. And eventually, what happened to Bannister Mall/Indian Springs, will happen to the Plaza. Then city officials will all look around dumbfounded at each other and wonder why it happened.

The problem is that we pay the wrong people to have children. By making having a child the entre into the welfare system we have people who can't care for themselves spewing out litter of feral rats. End all welfare. Either work, or starve.

Talking to the police on Sunday there were 4 people at the brush creek community center on Saturday night. So there were options, but just not used. It is not the fact these kids are black that is the problem. It is the fact they have no respect for common courtesy and behave poorly. If they were truly just hanging out and not accosting people it would be fine.
ReplyDeleteYears ago I spoke with the Plaza management. I have watched our once peaceful environment around our home become a cesspool. Gangs along with their children destroy property for fun and leave trash inches away from trash cans. They don't care because some one else cleans up after them. It started with allowing punks to drive around the area with car stereos booming while local police did nothing. They still do nothing. Property values decreasing every year, and the punks increasing. Sixteen with two kids. Baby daddy's in jail. Parent's crying on TV, oh my baby, he was such a good boy. Never any trouble. No trouble because he or she are never around the house. They're at my house.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a toss up between 10:36 and 12:54 on which has the best post of the day. Both hit the nail on the head. And giving these thugs (or their parents) a ticket for breaking the curfew? Please. Like they're really going to pay it and it's really going to do a lot of good. It will just be added to their record of other citations until a warrant is issued.

ReplyDeleteFrom my experience, KCMO & KCK cops and sheriffs are self-servicing. Only interested in the daily high speed chases, new SWAT gear, and stuffing their pension full of our money. The Plaza goes broke and is replaced with office buildings. Is this the plan? Appears to be.
