Sunday Clergy news presents an interesting moral dilemma . . .
KCTV5: "The Rev. Fred Phelps Sr., who founded a Kansas church that's widely known for its protests at military funerals and anti-gay sentiments, is "on the edge of death," according to Phelps' estranged son."
And here's the twist to watch . . .
Circle Of Life: Will so many who criticized the hate of Phelps clan over their funeral protests and divisive rhetoric avoid the temptation to celebrate the demise of this controversial media personality in much the same way the Westboro Baptist Church desecrated memorial services while falsely claiming a moral high ground???
Gee God Must Hate the Old Mother Fucker ...if the Phelps doctrine is right...
ReplyDeleteI guess the answer is NO, most people will never get off their high horse not even for a moment.
ReplyDeleteGet Glazer on this story, he has the inside scoop on all those dying. Sure he is friends some how with Phelps.
ReplyDeleteShould we protest at his funeral?
ReplyDeleteThis should be interesting.
ReplyDelete3:21 NO NO not protest... PARTY!!
ReplyDeleteThe devil saying fuck you God he is all yours.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting that he never brought his band of haters to the park around Liberty Memorial, which was a well known crusing site for Gays and curious married guys. I had heard that he stayed away because "Fredricka" used to come to KC and frequent places for anonymous man on man sex like Liberty Memorial.
ReplyDeleteMay be celebrating prematurely. Phelps has lots of followers...unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThe Westboro scam is a family business and unfortunately it will likely live on. I think his daughter has been running the show for awhile now.
ReplyDeleteHis daughter as nutty as he is
ReplyDeletei always thought he was a closet queen.
ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Tony: If Fred Phelps Sr. really is dying he should be accorded what he did not give others--respect, consideration and dignity in his time of crisis. That is what my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ teaches those of us (including miserable excuses for a Christian like me)who claim to be his followers. Let all who are true Christians follow the example of the Amish after the killing of their children in Pennsylvania and return good for evil. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
ReplyDeleteGod hates Rev. Phelps and is planning an eternal stir-fry starting the day he takes his last hate-filled breath. Burn in hell forever, motherfucker, and your mother too.
ReplyDelete+1 ernest
ReplyDeleteSorry. Ernest. As ye sow so also shall ye reap.
ReplyDeleteWhat will the Kansas governor and legislature do without their moral and spiritual leader? How will they know who to hate and discriminate against?
ReplyDeleteI'm hearing church giggles!
ReplyDeleteAs tempting as it would be to disrespect these people who have shown their asses at so many soldiers' funerals, it would be pointless. They're already miserable and consumed with hate so I wouldn't waste my time and energy trolling trolls.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous 4:50: While dying on the cross Christ asked God his Father to forgive those who crucified him because "they know not what they do." Fred Phelps is so blinded by hate that he does not know what he is doing--so I am sure My Lord would want his followers to forgive him. Take care and God bless. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
ReplyDelete5:00 Phelps was a Democrat.

I wonder if he'll finally admit to fucking Shirley
I'm ready to piss on his face when he shows up.
ReplyDelete"If the reports of Fred Phelps' declining health are accurate, then his family and friends are certainly saying their good-byes and preparing to mourn his loss," said Sandra Meade, chairwoman of Equality Kansas. "We ask that everyone understand the solemnity of the occasion, and honor the right of his family and friends to remember and mourn his loss in private without interruption or unseemly celebration," Meade said."
ReplyDeleteWhat complete, utter, and ironic hypocrisy. I think some radio station should play, "Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead" 24 hours non stop when Fred kicks.
How about a radio station play another one bites the dust for 24 hours straight.

ReplyDeleteMr Tony,
ReplyDeleteI just put a bottle of wine in the wine cooler. I have some nice savories in mind to nibble with my planned celebratory repast when the blessed event occurs. To Phelps I say "Get thee behind me!"
Phelps was a Democrat, right. I'm so sure he was all about supporting the leader of the Democratic Party, President Barack Obama... Yes sireee, that just makes so much sense...LOL
ReplyDeleteDemocrat civil rights lawyer Fred Phelps ran FOUR times as as a DEMOCRAT:

Fred's going to be for a rude awakening when he finds out that a RuPaul look-alike is guarding the pearly gates.
ReplyDeleteTime for new signs!
Wonder what the King of Slime has to say about it ? I'm sure he got Phelps his first gig.
ReplyDeleteHere's an unusual thought.
ReplyDelete(though I won't be holding my breath)
If Mr. Phelps' care location is made public, or if the time of his funeral is announced, would it be possible for large numbers of LGBT supporters, and general tolerant public, to simply line the street with bowed heads and or lit candles in a silent show of respect for ALL people. As I said, I won't be holding my breath on this one, but it would be quite a public statement for Kansans to show the nation that we don't support hate.
Call me a dreamer.
Soros next?
ReplyDeleteI fuckin hope so!
Delete7:51 Okay.. Dreamer
ReplyDelete7:53 Sooner the better
And someone thinks that every candidate ever run by the GOP is just peachy, right? LOL
ReplyDeleteDear 7:51: Yes, you are a dreamer, but as Robert Kennedy used to say in the 1968 campaign: "Some people look at the tragies in the world and say: Why? I look for good things and say: Why Not?" If what you suggested actually took place it would be the most powerful message against hate since Nelson Mandela, newly elected President of South Africa in 1994, paid a courtesy call on the widow of the white President of South Africa who had imprisoned him for 28 years starting in 1962. Keep dreaming!! Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
ReplyDeletePeople will follow anyone.
ReplyDeleteLet's picket the sumbitch's funeral! Complete with a burning effigy! Somebody should fly in every drag queen in America for this. That is, if there are any drag queens crazy enough to set foot in Topeka, Kansas, one of the most god-awful towns on earth for people of any sexual preference.
ReplyDeleteLet's all take a piss tomorrow for St Pats.
ReplyDeleteWe should all go to Kansas and take a collective shit right on top of his fuckin grave. While we're at it. We should have a lot of farmers who need to deliver a smelly load of chicken shit drop it off right after the casket drops in the hole. Fill that bastards grave full of shit.
ReplyDeleteFred Phelps sounds like the Byron Fuckhouser of Kansas. Damn, a hated man from all circles.
ReplyDeleteThe media are reporting Fred got excommunicated from his own church. Does anyone know the story there?
ReplyDeleteIt's true. He was caught molesting one of his grandsons.
ReplyDeleteHe was fucking his grandson? Wow! Incest and homosexuality. I wonder how much it cost to keep that out of the media.
ReplyDeleteRespond to hate with hate?
ReplyDeleteIs there one person on this blog who ascribes to any faith or attends a religious service on even a occasional basis?
It might help one of the haters.
Not hate, 11:28. Just celebration and irony. And then more celebration.
ReplyDeleteNo,it's not hate, it's the truth.
ReplyDeleteHe was even sicker than we all thought ..nasty bastard
Btw, 12:49.well put!!
