REAL TALK: ONE MILLION BUCKS TO FIGHT KANSAS ABORTION WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Over the course of writing this blog TKC has witnessed BILLIONS in taxpayer dollars wasted but this bit of local gov expenditure is probably the most valuable we've seen in quite some time  . . .

Check it:

AP: "Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt’s office says it has paid outside attorneys more than $1 million to defend anti-abortion laws enacted in recent years.

The attorney general’s office reported Thursday that it has paid more than $612,000 to the Lawrence firm of Thompson, Ramsdell & Qualseth for fees and expenses in handling multiple federal and state lawsuits."

Then there's this one . . .

Similarly, maybe skanks should just wait 9 months for derelict baby daddies to start making support payments: Missouri bill would triple abortion waiting period

ONCE AGAIN TKC CHALLENGES READERS TO GET ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY AND STOP PRETENDING THAT ABORTION ISN'T REALLY JUST A NICER WORD FOR INFANTICIDE!!!

Telegraph UK: Killing babies no different from abortion, experts say

Moving past political correctness and realizing that abortion is one of the world's greatest atrocities that's mostly committed against (tiny) people of color is essential in understanding a debate that's been hijacked in a meaningless culture war and pointless left vs. right system created to distract consumers who watch too much pay cable news.

Agreed up until you said it isn't a left vs right culture war. The left is solely responsible, especially for the large number of minority abortions. Sadly those same minorities , Hispanic and black are content to ignore the mass murder of millions of their babies in exchange for free shit and welfare.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hey, 6:59, you are right. Why do you think that Planned Parenthood locates in minority neighborhoods? These are whites who want to keep "those people" to procreate. They are racist, sexist, and elitest.

  4. A woman should not lose title to a portion of her body by way of fertility. Now that is a premise, but no matter what side of the argument you are on, enforcement of anti abortion laws are impossible, and, indeed criminalize an enormous segment of the population, that is otherwise, non violent and law abiding.

No matter what your Bible, Koran or commie manifesto tells you, the inception of life as a human being is categorically subjective and unprovable.

The efforts to control a woman's body are counter productive, pernicious and a waste of time.

Laws allowing or prohibiting abortion are counter productive. pernicious and a waste of time.

Women are going to make decisions on abortion in spite of laws or the lack of laws pontification, threats of incarceration, opprobrium notwithstanding.

Until there is 100% consensus or metphysical proof of a consensus with regard to life, there will be no point in criminalizing activites that are based in subjective belief.

  5. We always find ways to de-humanize the victims of our holocausts. The bottom line is that American women have slaughtered over 50 million of their own children. The next time you hear someone talk about neo-Nazis coming to town, just remember they're already here and probably live on your block.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm not sure the Bible or Koran even mention abortion. I don't think anyone gave it a thought until the 19th Century.

  7. I think Chuck was speaking metaphorically with reference to the bible etc

  8. I agree with Chuck 100%.

Women must have a choice. Its their bodies, their decision. A bunch of men discussing whether women should be allowed to have abortions is basically disgusting.

  13. Hey! Hey! Hey!

Haven't heard TKC make such bold statements before on an issue as controversial as abortion.

Don't know whether his statements are an honest reflection of his views, or maybe he's trying to purposely stir readers emotions. Regardless, I like the attitude!

Here are some questions to ponder:

    1) Why do you care if abortion is legal/illegal? If you're against it, then don't practice it.
If a woman in your town, state, country, or elsewhere in the world has an abortion, you would never know and it would never enter your thoughts unless she publicly discussed it.

    2) Whether someone else chooses to have an abortion is none of your business. Butt out. It's a woman's personal choice after consultation with her doctor.
Do you like strangers chastising you for your personal choices? Are you overweight, lazy, a smoker, a drug-abuser, an alcoholic, a gambler, a porn addict?

    3) Is the abortion issue, in reality, all about an attempt to control women? Have you ever wondered why most of the publicly prominent anti-abortion advocates are male?

    4) In the United States, the anti-abortion advocates typically use religious/moral grounds as the basis for their opposition, yet they remain silent as the United States government is the largest seller of military weapons to the world. The United States government is pro-war, anti-minority, anti-poor, and supports anti-democratic regimes around the world....in other words, they're anti-Christian/Jew/Muslim.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I wonder if anyone has ever figured out how many world problems could be solved if everyone minded their own business.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I remember in 1978 when a poster of aborted babies was flashed during an abortion debate in high school and the student judge wouldn't allow it as evidence and was harrassed about his decision by the teacher

    ReplyDelete
  16. i agree with the pro-death crowd, leave your morals out of my life. i have a neighbor i need to kill. this stupid neighbor is a mute and recluse. who are you to stand up for him!? its between me and my GOD so butt the hell out. i would keep talking but i have something to do...

    ReplyDelete
  17. hey chuck, "I think therefore I am". when do thoughts begin? Historically, its not that subjective what it takes to have life. its just that we only now have the science to know that that "thinking" begins way sooner than we thought

    ReplyDelete
  18. chuck, can i bite the dentists finger off when he sticks them in my mouth? they are inside MY body, by you logic that means they are a part of me so long as they remain there. and don't say i CHOSE to have his fingers in my mouth because some would say a woman CHOSE to have a baby develop in her body when she had sex.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 11:25 exactly right, i wish everyone would just mind there own business while i drink this forty while doing 64 in my 18 wheeler. until my 18 wheeler causes someone damage its not their business.

    ReplyDelete
  20. why doesn't the pro death crowd vote the libertarian ticket? unless they do they are hypocrites.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Actually, 1:20, I think most libertarians are pro-choice. That's kind of what it means to be a libertarian. As long as what you do doesn't harm others, you get to make up your own mind. That assumes, of course, that you have one.

    ReplyDelete
  22. i have a neighbor i need to kill. "this stupid neighbor is a mute and recluse. who are you to stand up for him!? its between me and my GOD so butt the hell out."

"i wish everyone would just mind there own business while i drink this forty while doing 64 in my 18 wheeler. until my 18 wheeler causes someone damage its not their business."

These are self-evidently absurd examples. The stupid neighbor is demonstrably viable (and I can sympathize--I've had neighbors who were viable but not deserving of life), and the 16-wheeler is endangering demonstrably viable people as well. A fetus is not demonstrably viable.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 1:33 thats is exactly what i said. "unless they DO they are HYPOCRITES".

    ReplyDelete
  24. 1:38 so its only a potential person? when exactly does it become viable? is a one day old demonstrably viable? a six month old?

    ReplyDelete
  25. and 1:38 is this "viable" term subjective? academic? because i would argue it sure as hell is viable. there are LONG waiting lists for adoptions in america, thats why people go to russia to buy them. so even without care from the birth mother it is viable in the arms of an infertile couple.

    ReplyDelete
  26. one could argue that OUR viablity is interconnected to the viability of that species that when born necessitate assistance. imagine the effects to the food chain should other species evolve to your line of thinking and terminate all maternal care.

    ReplyDelete
  27. 1:16 comment, VERY poor logic! If you didn't want the dentist to place their finger in your mouth, why did you go to the dentist? To complain?

1:18 comment, join 1:16 in remedial logic class! Are you claiming it's legal to drink alcohol while driving your truck?

    ReplyDelete
  28. 1:46- A) then your logic is wrong, if you didn't want to have a baby why did you have sex? if you say something like pleasure then i could say i went to the dentist for pain meds for a sore tooth, but in order to get that medication he had to examine. i had sex to have pleasure but in order to get that pleasure i had to put a penis in my vagina.

    B) Are you claiming that legality and ethics always align? see Nazi Germany. they had some nice eugenic programs

    ReplyDelete
  29. Formerly it was a duty to do the right thing, even if it required sacrifices. Today, most of the people seem convinced they must do just what is useful to them in the near future ... utilitarianism and individualism absolute...

    ReplyDelete
  30. It appears we have one very determined and writing-challenged anti-choice person posting here. You're welcome to continue posting to your heart's delight, but I'm not wasting my time responding to foolishness. I don't even respond to Byron, and he has an IQ of 129 and knows how to punctuate. More or less.

  31. Though there is evidence of a few rogue doctors and midwives performing abortions in the U.S. as far back as the 1850s, the first concerted effort to overturn state laws prohibiting abortion began in 1957.

Now they are getting ready to take the abortion practice to the next level and that is killing newborn babies. So they are wanting to pass new laws for this purpose. It is time for we the people to unite and STOP this madness.

    ReplyDelete
  32. This is not the sort of society we should live in. It is also not right to kill, based on our moral certainty that a person is simply “an individual who is capable of attributing to her own existence some (at least) basic value such that being deprived of this existence represents a loss to her”.

A person is the expression of a unique divine idea, and our purpose in life is to co-operate as a society in helping each person to outwork that idea, especially those who are so vulnerable that even their capability of attributing some basic value to their existence is limited.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Abortion was not even addressed in the US until the 19th Century, and then it was primarily in response to the fear that not enough white Protestants were reproducing. We the people are pretty much united on letting women have control of their own incubators, er, I mean bodies.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lions and Tigers eat their young and weaklings. Animals kill there own everyday and its not considered ethically wrong or murder. According to most scientists, humans are just another species of animal. The ten commandments and "thou shall not kill" are arbitrary rules made up by some Jews 3000 years ago based on nothing but silly superstitions about right and wrong. True or false?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Those white Protestants are notoriously undersexed. It's part of their religious upbringing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. undersexed sounds like my marriage, thats how i know tony's posts on not enough hookers is wrong

  37. With today's technology of ultrasounds, sonograms, the 4-D pictures, how can anyone say that the pic is not that of a baby. the mothers are showing the print outs as prize possessions to family and friends. The pic goes in the baby book.

  38. I can think of some adults I'd like to abort.

    ReplyDelete
  39. i can think of some polar bears i'd like to abort

  40. From the Guttmacher Institute website:

*Half of pregnancies among American women are unintended, and 40% of these unintended are terminated by abortion.

*At least half of American women will experience an unintended pregnancy by age 45, and at 2008 abortion rates, one in ten women will have an abortion by age 20, one in four by age 30, and three in ten by age 45.

    So:
Are American women just extremely lazy, poor planners?
Are they getting pregnant miraculously by themselves?

See, most people just like to complain about other people!! They have NO inkling of which women have had abortions, but in their mind, they imagine it must be poor, ignorant, minority women. And since they need to feel superior to someone else, they want to lecture these women about how stupid they are in their choices. Of course, when they don't have an abortion and struggle to care for the unplanned child, then the same people will lecture them about how they don't deserve any government assistance to care for these children.
So, you see, these people will complain either way!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Of course we know who the Biggest abortionist is.........
    that's right,
    ........g o d!
Not only does "he" cause stillbirths, but "he" blesses us with birth defects too.
What a nice guy, or guys.(the dad, the boy, the bird).
You'd think the virgin mary would step in and stop these terrible things,......nope!
We still suffer because a woman bit into a apple way back.
Just how do you justify that?

Here's the deal, any law, pro abortion or anti abortion is UNENFORCEABLE.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Chuck--it looks like they HAVE been arguing it all day long. Have you ever noticed how the most anti-choice people are also the most anti-sex and anti-pleasure of any kind people?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks for your permission to continue chuck.

Everyone, chuck says we can continue the debate. Thanks again chuck!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Why do you care if murder is legal/illegal? If you're against it, then don't practice it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Aww,yes. Thanks for another Pearl of wisdom from chuck.

Everyone! Scrap all of your opinions and theories ..chuck has spoken on this issue ..case closed

  48. The anti choice nazi nutjobs posting here have convinced me that in some cases abortion should be mandatory. In extreme cases retroactive.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It all comes down to eugenics every time doesn't it? Thanks for proving the point.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Lots of folks are against abortion, until there is a need for it for your daughter, wife, sister, girlfriend. Women are not simply vessels. Stop the hypocrisy. If you want to practice your own religious beliefs, feel free to do so. Leave the rest of us out of it. Stop subsidizing Viagra and penis pumps and stop questioning the need for birth control and the right to choose. Sadly, sexual assault exists. Sadly, there can be health concerns which can cause women to need abortions as well as other issues. Grow up and open your eyes to the real world!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Last time I checked you can't have intercourse without an erection, so stop subsidizing penis pumps and Viagra and that should help save taxpayer money as well as help women avoid the need for bc. A twofer!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Logically there are really only two moral positions on this issue and they are wholly incompatible.

The first is that abortion is killing of a human being and wrong

The second is that abortion does not kill a human being.

Everything else is just semantics and apologies for bad decision making and utilitarian cost-benefit analysis.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Who is subsidizing Viagra and penis pumps? You people are nuts.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Our government is subsidizing penis pumps and Viagra, they are both covered.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Specifically where. This is Missouri. Show me. You are lying, and you know it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ever heard of Medicare?

    ReplyDelete
  57. It figures that this sexist rag would oppose reproductive rights.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Men can sire children for a lot longer than most women can get pregnant. No need to help the men with this unless they pay for it themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Educated women want to control their family size. It isn't fair to poor women to not have the same reproductive rights as those who have means. If not, don't bitch about paying for food stamps!

    ReplyDelete
  60. You dipshit. I'm on Medicare, and neither is covered. You are such a liar. I know someone just like you. An anti-sex nutcase--she's especially against men having sex. I don't know why you nutcases can't just admit you hate men and become lesbians. Do us all a favor.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hey-- instead of name calling, try google. It is all there and has been documented by all the major news organizations. As it happens, I am not gay. But if I was, I wouldn't be ashamed of it and I wouldn't mind telling you or anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  62. KC Tony seems to have a classic case of the Madonna/whore complex, wherein, we women are either like the Virgin Mary or whores. It is right here on Tony's KC, for all to see in full glory-- yep, it is called Madonna/whore complex and there are many sufferers.

    ReplyDelete
  63. 10:35: You need to do some fact checking. The woman I knew with attitudes like yours (she even made men who used her bathroom sit, thus putting the freak in control freak) claimed not to be a lesbian, too. At any rate, you'll get the last word here as I'm off to pop my non-subsidized Viagra (even though according to you I should be able to get it free) and perform my conjugal duties. I hope that gives you a stroke.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I obviously could care less what you do. I have done plenty fact checking. I'm glad you pay for your Viagra, I will give you credit for that. Repeating a lie doesn't turn it into a fact.

  66. I will not be posting any links on how to get free Viagra on Medicare Part D. Nope.

    ReplyDelete
  67. You OBVIOUSLY done plenty of fact checking. It took me about a minute to find this:

Medicare.gov offers a primer on Part D (prescription drug) plans.

But for easier reading, you might want to skip to the Drugs.com explainer. Here's the relevant portion:

"Not all drugs available in the United States are covered by Part D. The most notable exclusion is the class of anti-anxiety medications known as benzodiazepines: Valium (diazepam) and Ativan (lorazepam), to name two. Drugs used for purely cosmetic purposes, as well as ED remedies such as Viagra and Cialis, are also excluded. Finally, some plans refuse to cover drugs on the basis of prohibitive cost or lack of a rebate from the manufacturer.

As you said, "Repeating a lie doesn't turn it into a fact." Liar.
