Nice one . . . And a reference to a lawsuit that STRETCH & friends filed to hold up the Downtown Streetcar.
Still, STRETCH seemed to take it in stride . . .
And while this polite conversation and bit of snark doesn't really represent the increasingly caustic debate surrounding the expansion of the toy train streetcar ... It does let us know that the Mayor isn't afraid to answer a few of his strongest critics with a rather witty retort.
Has success gone to Stretchs' head and is he now a douche? Yes. But give him credit. He was willing to start a business in a part of town not many people were willing to invest in years ago. Now if he would go back to having Grinders be the alternative bar it used to be instead of charging P & L prices it would be much better. Sorry but charging $8 for 10oz of Boulevard Wheat in a plastic cup is bullshit.

Admittedly we live in apartments and condos that have property tax subsidies and you will have to pay for our streetcar, but tough! We want it and we're gonna get it. And if you don't like it, you can always move, which is what we'll be doing when we reproduce and need to live somewhere safe with good schools, and do you think we're going to pick up the tab for the streetcar?
