KCTV5 reports an interesting bit of legislation from a Kansas City politico that will never see the light of day in the Show-Me State: MO lawmaker wants gun owners to consider retreat over firing

  1. I used to work with Randy Dunn. Very nice guy. Dumber than a box of rocks, but a nice guy.

  2. Maybe this is a situation where a pilot program would make sense. Implement it in the 23rd District for a few years first, see how it goes.

  3. I'm in MY house and you're wanting me to retreat even further? Hey, fuck you!!

  6. Just the latest example of playing to the crowd instead of providing any leadership. Where does Dunn think most of the home invasions in KCMO take place? Doesn't he want regular hard-working folks to be able to protect themselves and their families? Why does he think the population of the east side continue to empty out?
Playing to the lowest common denominator is exactly what's gotten that part of the city where it is and doing the same thing over and over is likely to get the same "results".
Maybe Dunn should try encouraging residents to cooperate with the police instead of this joke.

  7. What sort of fantasy world does he live in? Perhaps we should offer to make the intruder French toast.

  8. Dunn, you ignorant slut, shut the fuck up.

  9. A black Democrat with a criminal record wants to make it easier and safer for criminals to rob you. In states where they have a duty to retreat if someone breaks into your house, you have to leave, you cannot defend your property. This is what it will mean if the Democrats ever control Missouri. They must be defeated by any means necessary if we are to remain free.

  10. Democrats are the party of the criminal and the parasite. Communists one and all.

  11. Another attack in the Democrat's war on the productive non-criminal.

  12. Goes along with the whole national theme of "cut them some slack, just kids having some fun."

  13. Retreat how far and to where? What if you're in an apartment on the third floor? And as 5:56 noted, why should I retreat I my home? What a dope!

  14. What does Randy Dunn really care about home invasion?
Randy Dunn was one of the City Planners who helped author the Heart of the City Area Plan. And then months later, totally disregarded the findings, desires of the community and law; and endorsed the taking of private property for the City’s East Patrol Police Campus. This is the quintessential definition of home invasion. Yet, Dunn did nothing.
I see why Mr. Dunn would support the “invader” over the “property owner”. In this instant and in his legislative agenda, the focus is clear. Support the thugs, penalize the law abiding citizens.
And isn’t that how corruption generally works? Find someone with some authority, like a lawmaker – Dunn, create nonsensical laws and then apply the unreasonable and oppressive laws on the people and then enforce it by taking what little liberty and freedom they have left.
While I agree that Michael Dunn was completely out of order for shooting an unarmed teenager over “loud music”, this bill will do little to prevent such acts in Missouri. It just creates more barriers to justice. This bill assumes that everyone with a gun will act as Michael Dunn did. It is absurd.
I agree with the attorney, Mr. Kevin Jamison who said... "I'm appalled. This is showing more regard for home invaders than home owners," he said. "This is an absurd piece of legislation. It should be given the contempt it deserves."

This type of legislation is part and parcel of what can be expected of for Mr. Dunn as a legislator. There is no wisdom in this legislation; only politics.

  15. Intruders have already made up their minds to do you harm, NOW you must hesitate.

What a dipshit this Dunn must be.

  16. Dunn must think that the defending homeowner has lots of time to mull over whether to fire or retreat. Maybe he should flip a coin, or give it the one-potato two-potato. Of course, that would be the last thing he ever did.

Ironically, it is my belief Dunn does not own a home of his own. That's what makes this so nonsensical. When you dwell in apartment buildings where all of your needs and responsibilities are unloaded on the landlord, it's easy to make absurd assumptions. This guy is simply disconnected from reality. This is what life looks like when you own nothing of real value. All the cars, suits and shoes don't do a bit of good for serious wealth builders. What an embarrassment!

  18. There will NOT be a nigger in my home. If there is, he/she will leave on a stretcher, in a body bag. Simple as that. I detest niggers and will never have one in my home, for ANYTHING.

  21. Hey Randy, why not propose bills that DISCOURAGE crime? Oh wait, lets cut the black youth some slack, they are just having fun.

  22. This State Rep should be called Randy Dumb; not Dunn.
