The Kansas City Star knows that City Hall DESPERATELY needs red-light camera cash and they're doing their best to produce propaganda that STILL FAILS TO UNDERSTAND opposition to this spy tech that has been rejected time and again by Missouri courts: Fix Missouri's red-light camera law

Tony, why are you so in favor of running red lights?
ReplyDeleteThey can put as many red lights as people want in CK, if people don't run them the city still won't get their money.
ReplyDeleteThe issue is "broke city hall"! Municipal Judges are paid more than members of the Supreme Court. City Council members make close to $90,000 a year (with $4,800 "auto expense paid as salary)the over overly generous pension fund it upside down and city salaries are Way Higher than comparable State and County salaries and other comparable cities. Baby Bell (Calif.)? Why wll the Forth Estate not touch it? Because there is no Forth Estate in KC. (Yael?)
ReplyDeleteIf this was about safety rather than money perhaps people wouldn't be so annoyed. If our cops were on the street instead of in front of cameras perhaps we could reduce the murder rate.
ReplyDeleteWell it ain't like urbanites outside the city limits are forced to shop and spend their money in KC so Mr. Mayor if ya got the balls just jump my friend. There are plenty of venues, entertainment, travel, shopping, gas, groceries and medical care outside the city limits. Fuck your red light pocket picking bullshit.
