TRUE FACT: THIS REALLY WAS THE WEEK OF TEH GHEY IN KANSAS CITY!!!

All this talk of LGBTQI rights in Kansas City this week and I'm still the bad guy when I ask women to make out with each other at random occasions.

Anyhoo . . .

We started the week talking about a gay football player most people didn't care about and his sexual preferences.

Turns out his dad may or may not be cool with it.

The reality is that more people are realizing the reality of his announcement in a PR and political context.

Never mind the fact that he's kinda scrawny, weak and slow for a NFL defensive lineman.

And then . . .

The big kerfuffle in Kansas over religious discrimination might have been all over nothing considering the Sunflower State Senate is already backing down.

Missouri is in the middle of the gay marriage fight . . . Or, more accurately, Kansas City & STL hate the rest of the state and the feeling is mutual . . .

And of course we want FREEDOM FOR EVERYBODY but can't help noting that this serious, heartfelt discussion also means that the struggle for civil rights is moving further and further away from considerations of class disparity and now seems more about white people being uncomfortable with their families . . .

  1. Of course Tony is an advocate for gay rights. It doubles his chances of getting some.

On the other hand, to quote a line from the great Star Trek episode, "The Trouble with Tribbles," twice nothing is still nothing.

    But I digress.

  3. I just want to know how many more letters will be added to LBGT. What's up with "Q" and "I"?
