This one is a long time in the making because City Council . . . Mostly Council members Brooks and Reed have a hard time controlling their budget and always have a tendency to ask for advances like Wimpy with hamburgers . . .

"Amending Section 2-48, “Mayor pro tempore” and Section 2-2096, “Waivers” of the Code of Ordinances by permitting a member of the Council to seek a waiver from the Municipal Officials and Officers Ethics Commission of rules otherwise precluding use of a Council expense account for reimbursement of travel and associated costs."
Maybe not a huge deal but another sign that City Council can't live within their own budgets so mismanagement of the General Fund shouldn't really be such a surprise.
