Today a Jackson County politico seriously underestimated how much support there is out there for reforming marijuana laws in Kansas City and throughout Jackson County.
Just now, Jackson County 6th District Legislator Bob Spence did this:

In Springfield, Missouri marijuana reformers have filed federal lawsuits in order to protect their rights. So the few thousand voter signatures needed to outs Legislator Spence really isn't that big of a deal.

The Missouri auditor estimates that legalization and taxation will produce $217 million yearly for the state of missouri.
That means new revenues in will equal about $40 for the government for every man, woman and child in the state every year forever.

The criminalization of marijuana burdens the prison system, & the police resources, which can better deployed without this distraction. Legalization will take money out of the black market & put in the open market, as well as bring in much needed tax revenue. Last, but not least, its a question of personal freedom. As it is now, Colorado is a free state, & the rest are police states. Its time to end this war on American Citizens.

I'd love to be proved wrong. Has any attempted to present Mr. Spence with the facts been made? I believe if he is presented officially with the current scientific studies and information he would change his position, any intelligent person would. When printed directly from pubmed.gov and NIH.org,the facts are hard to dispute. If the patients who are beating cancer and other serious illness with cannabis presented to him and screen any one of a hundred legit documentaries with A copy of our governments cannabis patent and then if Mr. Spence and any other on the fence politician doesn't change his position then you have him on record as denying the facts and from there we take action but it will require people get involved. United weed stand.... Whatever the response, You can count me in.
