Here's a round-up of Kansas City links regarding the tragic recent murder that has resonated throughout the nation . . .
More than any other station . . . Fox4 has dominated (and maybe saturated) coverage on this one. Some of their stories are helpful, so take a look:
Springfield abduction serves as a warning to other parents and children
Man who chased kidnapper remembers little girl’s smile
Metro mom knows the pain of having a daughter kidnapped
Best friend remembers Hailey Owens for her humor and energy
Conversation with kids about tragedy should be appropriate, honest
All of those stories are linked without comment and just for folks who are interested in the topic.
As far as this blog is concerned, like many other topics . . . This one just really doesn't move the radar on TKC and I don't particularly feel like slamming local newsies or newswatchers who might be more into this kind of coverage . . . I just always think it's weird that newsies never realize when or why they'll tear up over some stories and not others.
Yes, there is a disparity angle and Kansas City would be a better place if WE cared more about our young-girls who have been murdered senselessly. But we've had that discussion time and time again . . . And I don't feel like it right now.
What might be more interesting to consider is that for TKC . . . Springfield might as well be on Mars - I'm never gonna go there if I don't have to . . . And the place just holds no interest and doesn't contain anything noteworthy for this blog . . . So the proximity and somewhat local nature of the story isn't really there for a great many KC residents . . . But notice the wall-to-wall coverage and justapose it with this not-so-fun-fact:
We're living in an era where massive human rights abuses and death camps still exist. What's going on in North Korea is nearly as bad what Hitler and Stalin created . . . But for the most part Kansas City newsies aren't even vaguely familiar with a recent U.N. report revealing as much.
You decide what's important . . . More in a bit . . .
Die slow, meth head, scumbag
ReplyDeleteNow, who the hell would hire this guy, with hair down to his fucking shoulders, as a coach? Jeez, the guy looks like a pervert to begin with.... Come on, who the fuck is protecting our kids???
ReplyDeleteHang the sumbitch today.
ReplyDeleteJesus what filth.
Chuck is that a cut and paste from KCC?
ReplyDeleteahh, tony rolls out the old chestnut that we are supposed to care about the largest amount of deaths in a far away land we have no connection to or ability to influence.
ReplyDeletePretty much goes against your momma's community philosophy, eh?
White trash with a mullet. Looks like a child molester. Give him his day in court and if convicted, kill him the next day.
ReplyDeleteJust your everyday white pedophile. I think that is the n-word guy's daddy.
ReplyDeletegood thing it wasn't a black killer. They are so prolific the bodies would pile up like cord wood.
ReplyDeleteThis is a profile of a real "Pervert"
ReplyDeleteWhite trash scumbag cocksucker, skin him alive & feed him to fireants.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Glazer to me.
ReplyDeleteIf we can microchip dogs and cats, why can't we put a tiny GPS in children?
ReplyDeleteSure perfect solution 8:47 then when you get to be an adult anyone can track your location as well. As in ex wife's, girlfriends and what not.
ReplyDelete8:15 nah, this dude has real hair. Glazer has a dead rat on his head.
ReplyDeleteI hope they get all this humane execution drug bullshit settled and the drugs in stock before this sombitch goes to trial 'casue they are gonna need to put this MF to death real fast.
ReplyDeleteTony supports dead white children. On the real, Tony you're a racist piece of shit. Let this happen to a Hispanic kid, and you would go all ape shit, candle light vigils and all that... I think you are a petty, angry, mommy's boy who spends your life with a piece of pizza in one hand, and your dick in the other jerking off to white broads on the web.......you suck
ReplyDeleteThis piece of shit will be eating and sleeping on our dime for at least 20 years before they off him. It's a fucked up system.
ReplyDeleteMy message to children is: "Eric Clapton killed his four year old son, so why wouldn't you expect Eric Clapton Fans to not kill children?"
ReplyDeleteKill the Clapton fans for a better tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteWhite crime is horrible.
ReplyDeleteBut Clapton turned it around and made millions from the song about killing his kid while stoned.
ReplyDeleteThis guy like Glazer I bet will write a book and get all kinds of fans thinking he is such a wonderful person and a great guy. He will use all that money filing appeals for the next 50 years. Least we know the truth about what he did. With Glazer you only know what was made public and there are those of us who all know there is a lot that wasn't. Remember it was drug dealers and the likes he crawled around with. There is more to the story get the asshole really high sometime get him to talking, got his buddy killed it did. See the fools at Fox 4 go to Glazers buddy the so called Self-defense expert Bob Thurman for an opinion, Ha that's a laugh.
Clapton did not kill his son. He wasn't even present when it happened. It was a terrible accident.
ReplyDeleteDon't confuse them with the truth.
ReplyDeleteNo he didn't push him out the window no, but he sure as hell was no father either. Kid ran and fell out an open window was an accident. Clapton arrived 5 minutes after the fact. Clapton was too busy with himself and his career and booze to be a father. But the fact remains the same the #1 song made him millions and Clapton received many rewards from it. He could have just played the song but no he recorded it knowing he had a hit and it would play off the sympathy of the public.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a younger version of Louie Wright, and while he may have not abducted a child he did rape the people of Kansas City, well except his union members, or did he? But he did leave the citizens here for dead!!!
ReplyDelete5:37 The child's mother was there. Are you saying that both parents have to be present to watch a child? Clapton is a musician. He wrote a beautiful song for his son. Musicians do that. WTF do you expect? Think he should have knitted a nice scarf in his son't memory instead. He didn't need the money for the song...he was already a very wealthy man. Your statements are beyond mean spirited and ignorant.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't give the money up either for a worthy cause.
ReplyDeleteOh, so you don't like it that he didn't use it for publicity? How do you know what his contributions to charity are? And since when is it any of your business? All you have done is malign a man who lost his son in a terrible accident, caused by an unsecured window screen in a friend's apartment. Oh, wait...I forgot this was the TKC blog, where white people who suffer any misfortune are treated as if they somehow deserved it. Just don't expect not to be called out on your hateful accusations and judgements.
ReplyDeleteComparing EC to this filth? Fuckin ignorance
ReplyDeleteExactly, 3:54!
