ReplyDeleteQuitting your job to become an artist is probably a great idea, since KC is becoming the arts scene capital of the world. And with a new airport terminal, it won't be long before jumbo jets of Europeans will be flocking to downtown and most likely closing their own art museums.
ReplyDeleteAnd if art doesn't wuite work out as planned, she can always become an entrepreneur, develop smart phone apps, and become a billionaire in KC's innovative creative society.

First, she has been gainfully employed all these years and as far as I can tell, never on gov't assistance like a huge percentage of the black population. Second, and most important, she thinks she can do this for a living. She sees a revenue stream coming in from her art work. Where did you read woman is quitting job to go on welfare? I didn't see it. Now maybe this works out and maybe it doesn't. But I bet if she isn't making enough money in it she'll go right back into the job market and go back to doing art on the side. Instead of seeing racism in everything you look at how about some critical thinking maybe? Then again, you may not be capable of it.
