ReplyDelete12 inches? Must be using the same ruler you measured your pecker with. Five inches at 5:00 PM, maybe 10 inches by today. In some cities this happens a dozen times each year and they don't declare an emergency.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that many have been surprised by the media "Storm of the Century" tag and all the press by mayor. Must be worried snow removal money can't be used on Toy Choo Choo.
ReplyDeleteA huge “amen” to Wired SOB. The fit the KC media works itself into during these occasions is embarrassing. If it had been a tornado, I’d understand … that could cause immediate death and destruction. But a heavy snowfall? Kids were out of school, so it’s not like they were stranded on a bus somewhere, and adults had been given warning about this storm for days ahead of time; many of them stayed home as well. And rather than come on once an hour or so and give a two or three minute update, it had to be 24/7 coverage of absolute BS. Just like Wired SOB said, some poor schmuck reporters stuck on various intersections telling us that it’s snowing and that traffic is light and moving slowly. Duh. My favorite yesterday was Fox 4 who likes to flaunt their “calm during the storm” approach. They were public enemy #1 yesterday! At one point, it was so ridiculous that they were profiling how busy pizza delivery drivers were! Can we say PATHETIC?!?
