Web Reveal: Prosecutor Turned Kansas City Public School Board Hopeful Janelle Bailey
Take a look at the JUST RELEASED website of a Kansas City Public School Board candidate for the upcoming election this Spring . . .
Really interesting bio from this School Board hopeful . . .
"Having spent a year inside the Public Defender’s Office and then becoming an assistant prosecutor in Jackson County, I have seen what happens to children who lack opportunities to receive a quality education. I was fortunate enough to have attended good public and private schools while growing up in Kansas City; I’ve seen the doors that a solid education can open. Everyone deserves this opportunity. This is why I am running for the school board.
I chose to study physics in college and for the past several years, I have worked as an intellectual property attorney. The jobs of tomorrow will require our students to better perform in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine. I believe we can prepare our students for these endeavors. Background . . . She seems to have earned the support of current School Board Vice Prez Crispin Rea as he moves on to City Council aspirations.
