Uh oh
ReplyDeleteLooks like state officials are tired of the stoned out bullshit KCPS is feeding them.
ReplyDeleteSo the KCPS board hired CEE-Trust (Ewing Kauffman Foundation) to step in. Hasn't this outfit screwed up Kansas City enough? Mr. Kauffman must be turning over in his grave.
ReplyDeleteDo you even read or watch the news at all? DESE hired CEE Trust, not the KCPS board.
DeleteHaving town hall meetings and asking "the community" how to run a school district and educate kids is like asking the passengers on an airliner how they want the pilot to fly the plane.
ReplyDeleteFor starters, the parents could do some serious parenting and teach their kids the importance of a FREE education and some decent behavior.
But the real goal of the locals when it comes to KCPS is that's where the money is and it will stay that way until the state takes over and puts some serious professional management in place.
The only question is, will they have the guts to do what's right for the kids?
Finally!
Yes because the state taking over in St. Louis has worked so well? They are performing worse than prior to the takeover. I'm nor saying leave KCPS as is but I sure wish people would educate themselves about the topic before pontificating.
DeleteHonestly, the one thing that has never been tried in this district is to stay the course and actually follow a plan.
ReplyDeleteObviously getting rid of the district will solve the problem for all the people who bitch about everything including any improvements. It is not actually going to fix anything.
