Like it or not, City Council election season is now in full swing.
And just like a dude with a mustache, gold chain and decades old economy-class-controvertible . . . TKC will teach you how to swing. Ewww.

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS TELL US TO GET READY FOR THE
He's talking to all the right people and might soon announce his council run along with a little help with his friends @ Forward KC.
We're happy to ruin the surprise and it wouldn't be the first time that TKC spoiled an Alan Dillingham Northland political cocktail party . . .
Here's a few things on this topic . . .
- Look or Mayor Sly to face more Northland resistance in his second term. Mr. Fairfield wanted to be Mayor and he probably won't be easily impressed with Sly's charm even though they play nice nowadays.
- Stay tuned for the "Rise of the Northland" or at least a reminder that this is really the only party of Kansas City that's growing.
- And of course, all of this depends on the Council District hot mess that could split the Northland into tiny districts where union districts competed with GOP strongholds in order to make sure all of their politicos are as ideologically "nimble" as current Council dude Russ Johnson.
Whatever the case . . . Political season in the Northland is going to be exceptionally fun from the second career of our favorite FIRE DUDE to the reality of life in the last local booming section of KCMO.

ReplyDeleteWhy is it that all these candidates start their campaigns by "talking to all the right people" instead of offering any ideas or rationales for their interest in running?

This coming from the stooge who told us it was a done deal the Northland would CLEARLY be electing Mike Burke our next mayor.

John Fairfield again? Why can't these guys just go away and find a real job. Jim Glover ran so many times, Carol Coe was another. How about some good people that don't have a personal agenda run for council?

ReplyDeleteYeah Sly got over on those of us who supported him in the Northland and we took him past a Northlander once. Won't happen again. Fool me once - shame on you, fool me twice - shame on me. He's only remembering the rich people in the North. They weren't the only ones who got him there.

ReplyDeleteGlover is running on nothing more than his name. He has so many grudges against everyone in this city that he isolated in anything he wants to do. A waste of office space at City Hall. Sad for the 4th.
ReplyDeleteToo bad how Glover has ended up. I knew him when he was younger, before he was elected to public office. He really was a good guy until his ego took over. Not the same person at all.
