RE: Royals FanFest
The Royals are holding their 2014 FanFest in Kansas City for the first time at Bartle Hall on Friday, 1/31 and Saturday 2/1. In previous years, this event was held in Overland Park. We are happy that they have made the change and moved to Kansas City and now we need to support that move by record attendance. Here is a link to further information about FanFest.
Please attend and ask others to do the same. Please feel free to share this email and please tweet and Facebook this event.
Thank you!!
Mayor Sly James

Actually, this really is a good news and reveals that even the fight for 3rd place in Kansas City takes a lot of work.
Good news all around. The fest needs to be in KC. Although I wonder if the turnout will be as good? From the looks of traffic outside my window. Probably!
ReplyDeleteNicely done Mayor James.
Does anyone take Sly seriously anymore or uust going through the motions?
ReplyDeleteThat el' show that rougue nation overland park who's boss.
ReplyDeleteDestination City
ReplyDeleteSo 15.00 for adults, 7.00 per kid, 10.00 for parking etc. Good thing its on a welfare weekend.
ReplyDeleteQuite the triumph
ReplyDeleteEver occur to him people like to get out of this dump once in while?
ReplyDeleteWe gonna need a new hotel for this?
ReplyDeleteProbably a New Bartle Hall.
ReplyDeleteOld and outdated
if were going to compete with Portland we can't have a pro football and baseball team.
ReplyDeleteIntouch Solutions, a growing marketing firm that specializes in the pharmaceutical industry, plans to move into new space and hire an additional 350 people over the next five years.
ReplyDeleteThe company, which employs 340 people locally, has been based in Overland Park since its founding in 1999. It expanded its workforce 16 percent last year and plans to move into 90,000 square feet at 7045 College Blvd. this June.
Oh gawd, what a feat! Very impressive. NOT.
ReplyDeleteSly could have offered Intouch Solutions one of those Free Office Space, Free Power, etc deals like he gave Google.
ReplyDeleteare they riding the Bullet Toy Train in from JOCO ? Do the Royals have a black player? If not, the hood rats won't show up just for ghosts and spics.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget Sly won with only 21 percent of the City's registered voters voting.
ReplyDeletenigga got a new venue to akt up in!
ReplyDeleteHow is his sons nigger friends gunna carjack and rob you if your in JOCO?
ReplyDeleteSo we move it from a low crime area to a high crime area. Got it.
ReplyDeleteWeek in Review just said Sly will be re-elected without a opponent next year. WTF....
ReplyDeleteAnd Sly wants to remind Overland Park that his town is WAY ahead on crime and hiomicides. In fact, KC has more murders in a year that all of Johnosn County has in a decade.
ReplyDeleteThoughtful priorities, Mayor James.
I am sure all those JoCo parents went over to the P & L District for drinks after Fanfest. That alone may solve the 20 mill deficit for 2014.
