SHOCK!!! SEC. KANDER WARNS OF MASSIVE MISSOURI VOTER DISENFRANCHISEMENT!!!

TKC NOTE: An important note regarding the consequences of a GOP voter crackdown via photo I.D. regs . . .

Kander Announces Approximately 220,000 Registered Voters Could Be Disenfranchised By Restrictive Legislation Requiring Specific Photo ID

Secretary of State Jason Kander this morning announced approximately 220,000 registered voters could be disenfranchised with the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 31 & Senate Bill 511, proposed legislation that would require voters to present a current government-issued photo ID before being allowed to cast their ballots.

"As the state’s chief elections officer, it is my job to make sure that only eligible voters vote, but also that every eligible voter has the opportunity to vote," Kander said. "This proposed legislation could keep hundreds of thousands of current Missouri voters from voting, which is not only just wrong, but unconstitutional."

Among the hundreds of thousands of eligible Missouri voters that could be kept from voting by SJR31 & SB511 are students with current school-issued photo ID’s, senior citizens who no longer drive, Missourians who rely on public transportation, and women who have changed their last names due to marriage or divorce.

"This is not just a simple identification requirement," Kander said. "This is essentially ‘REAL ID’ all over again, as the legislature wants everyone in our state to be required to have a certain kind of identification. This idea has already been debated and defeated by the Missouri legislature."

Kander is the first secretary of state in Missouri to formalize the elections complaint process and make his office’s findings available to Missourians. More information about the Elections Integrity Unit—including its reporting procedure and copies of its completed reviews—is available at www.sos.mo.gov/integrity on Kander’s website.

Registered, but dead voters maybe...

You need photo ID to drive, fly, rent a movie, but cough medicine, go to DNC event, and just about anything else a person has to do.

Only Democrats could think people so weak and feeble they can't possibly get photo ID.

1 party encourages voting and tries to make it more accessible.

The other tries to prevent American citizens from voting and hides be hind imaginary voter fraud boogeymen.

Who's the party of freedom now?

As a frame of reference, a city of 220,000 would be Missouri's 3rd largest.

Guess the rural/suburban know-nothing alliance is scared of letting the Democratic majority in Missouri exercise their right to vote. Right.

The same party that's scared of BIG BAD GUBMINT registries for guns doesn't mind them for votes.

Here's my view on publicly unsolicited email. Fuck it, who reads email anyway?

Seems to me that over 5 million are already disenfranchised by the crooked ass politicians already.

5:31 - "1 party encourages voting and tries to make it more accessible" to illegal aliens, felons, people who have already voted and dead people.

Even if you have an I.D., you might not be allowed to vote in an election that decides how the city will spend a half billion dollars, because you might live in the 1st or 2nd district, or the wrong part of the 5th or 6th district.
