This is a good idea, although there are many like it all over the country and Dolly Parton's book program is probably one of the best.
ReplyDeleteWhat KC needs to stop doing, though, is defining its success on "national recognition" by one obscure organization or another.
Something like this reading program is either successful or not for what it does for kids, not some award.
People BUY their own entries in "Who's Who" for God's sake!
