ReplyDeleteSo many of my KC area friends have sent their children to KU. KC is a KU town, and that is just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteMy sister graduated law school from Indian University, which was a way better school and absolutely more exclusive than the KU law school. When she decided to move back here, the one question she heard was "Why didn't you go to KU?"
She did not ever answer truthfully, but the real answer was, "Well duhhh, I was smarter than that. The law school I attended is in the top 10 among law schools in the country." KU was not even close.
This is a KU town. KU degree goes further in KC than a degree from elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteWell, it is only like a half hour away. Lawrence is basically a bedroom community of our metro, and is our 3rd biggest source of in-migration after Wichita and LA.
