- Yes, they're going to run a Council Candidate in the 3rd District.
- Look for a public press event in the early Spring.
- A great deal of their campaign will include rhetoric against incumbents and candidates aligned with the Democratic Party in the urban core.

People forget that the Reppublican Party was the party of civil rights. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, in fact, the first Republican President.
ReplyDeleteAt one time, we used to have a large and lively black Republican contingency. I remember Joanne Collins, who was a black Republican. I think she was a councilwoman, but I don't remember. There was a significan number of blacks who were Reublicans, especially in the neighborhood around St Luke's hospital, which was a very established traditional neighborhood that has disappeared since St Luke's has grown.
It might help if any of these people remember that they're running for a city council seat, not to make believe they're going to become some kind of bigtime politician.

If some of these folks actually did their jobs, it might be hard to tell the Democrats from the Republicans.
And incompetence clearly isn't a partisan issue!

Black conservatives are larger in number than most think. You really think that they all worship Obama? The dumb ones vote for Obama or similar minded folks. The smart ones think for themselves and choose the lesser of two evils.

ReplyDeleteThe "conservative" Republican Party today is against the Voting Rights Act and renewing it, they're doing they're damnedest, state by state AND nationally, to disenfranchise black citizen voters (that means taking away their ability to vote) due to their push for and insistence of voter IDs (besides also trying their hardest to also disenfranchise the poor, the elderly, minorities and the physically-challenged).
"Conservative Blacks"? Okay, sure.
But Republican?
Why don't you just ask Jews to be Nazis.
