Betrayal?!?! Kansas City Republican Consultant Cathy Nugent Now Works To Bring GOP Convention To Denver!!!
Here's another sign that the GOP isn't really that loyal to Kansas City after all . . .
"Cathy Nugent, a former key supporter of Kansas City’s bid to host the 2016 Republican National Convention, now is working to keep the convention from coming to Kansas City. On Monday, a representative of the Colorado Republican Party — as well as numerous sources within the Republican National Committee — confirmed that Nugent is working to support Denver’s bid to host the 2016 nominating convention."
In fairness . . .
Behind the scenes we know that Mayor Sly and Chief Of Staff John McGurk (metaphorically) smacked down this lady pretty hard behind the scenes and kicked her to the curb and off the project because she wasn't "likeable" to quote more than a few local insiders.
Also, very much like our pro-sports teams . . . Kansas City's bid for the GOP Convention 2016 is a DISTANT THIRD and most local leaders don't really want to go out of their way to cater to Republican Party in any way.
So which of the political whores are "likeable"?
