Last night @ 11:01 PM KCPD officers were dispatched to 2539 Quincy on the sound of shots. On arrival they located a male subject inside the front door of the residence deceased from an apparent gunshot injury. At this time the age of the victim is unknown. No other parties were present at the residence at the time of the officers arrival. Anyone with information involving this crime is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
Unofficially, this marks the 102 homicide for Kansas City in 2013 as opposed to 100 at this time last year.
Kansas City is exceptionally cold for Christmas.
