The holiday season is cinema crunch time so this recent Kansas City online movie debut make sense . . .
To wit . . .
CHECK THIS WEIRD EFFORT FROM KANSAS CITY 'ART STARS' USING NEWFANGLED ONLINE MOVIE PAY-PER-VIEW TECH!!!
They're calling it: "Dust"
Here's the description with Kansas City deets:
"Featuring three art stars from Kansas City (Cody Critcheloe, Peggy Noland and Jaimie Warren) and one Warhol Superstar (Holly Woodlawn), DUST is an art-house comedy dipped in pathos. Suggested by Anton Chekhov’s play The Three Sisters, DUST is the story of an eccentric family in crisis. Unable to move forward or functionally communicate, three change-averse siblings collide with their older brother and their own myopic worldview with comic and tragic results. Hailed for its visual flair, the film is a colorful showcase of unique personalities with a wide emotional palette."
Now watch the trailer if you've made it this far . . . Warning . . . Unwanted shot of man-ass in there that should have merited a disclaimer . . .
And so . . .
WILL YOU PAY TO SEE THIS MOVIE OR IS THIS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF NEW TECH WASTED ON THE KANSAS CITY ARTS COMMUNITY?!?!?
I'll wait to watch it before I judge but after doing a bit of reading on the DUST website (dust.vhx.tv) and witnessing some of the trailer . . . It does look like an even bigger train wreck than the upcoming downtown streetcar.
price is kind of high @ $5.99. IF they would have come down to $2 I bet they would have had more takers.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty much shit flinging at the walls as entertainment?
ReplyDeleteJust what the fuck is this shit?
ReplyDeleteI find this easy to masturbate to...
ReplyDeleteNo I won't pay for it. There is so much free shit on the web why?
ReplyDeleteThey accept bitcoins? I got to dump these things before the price crashes to worthless.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but Obamacare is consuming the last of whatever disposable income I had left to blow on a whim or impulse. Good luck.
ReplyDeletePay for it? Huh?
ReplyDeleteThe trailer was less than compelling.
ReplyDeleteThere are hundreds of independent "movies" like this being uploaded to the web every day.
ReplyDeleteWhich one to pay for. Hmmmmmmm
Choice of actors and actresses fit the dysfunctional theme well!
ReplyDeleteNobody looks at naked MEN
ReplyDeleteA neat effort but I think the comments are right on the money. This isn't something that has a widespread appeal. They would have been better off having a pay per view screening a.k.a. - A big party!
ReplyDeleteLook, just get my coffee order correct without all the pretension.
ReplyDeleteFuck you hipster, get your own goddamn coffee.
ReplyDeleteGreat effort by everyone involved. I know some of those folks and they have the humility and talent to go far. Several others are a bit full of themselves and wear me out quickly. Like pretty much the rest of the KC Art scene, they need to remember they are only cool in KC - and KC sux.
ReplyDeleteThis movie is a gilded turd! Saw it the theater. Totally awful. All these white kids are suppose to be Mexicans and and they are all hopeless, nothing happens, it has no ending! TURD I TELL u
