REPUBLICAN CONSULTANT CATHY NUGENT KICKED TO THE CURB AMID CONTENTIOUS KANSAS CITY GOP 2016 CONVENTION BID!!!
Okay, only insiders are going to care about this one but it might provide a nice bit of fun and games if we kick it around for a bit . . .
INEVITABLY, CATHY NUGENT HAS BEEN KICKED TO THE CURB AND SHE'S NO LONGER A PART OF THE EFFORT TO LURE THE GOP CONVENTION TO KANSAS CITY!!!

Who is Cathy Nugent? Who cares?
It's kind of important and worth explaining . . .
Here goes:
Cathy Nugent is a local GOP Lady Republican consultant and her last big deal was a push to privatize KC's Water Department along with some other campaign work that's a bit more "grassroots" than the high flying stuff we see from guys like Jeff Roe.
Now here's the fun part . . .
FACTIONS LOYAL TO NUGENT SAY THAT MAYOR SLY'S PEOPLE BULLIED HER, STOLE HER IDEA AND THEN PUSHED HER OUT!!!
Their excuse to her: "Nobody liked her."
She seemed nice enough to me . . . But I'm an optimist like that . . .
Again, most people in Kansas City might not care about the planners of a Kansas City conservative party that's never going to happen but the tale offers a nice perspective about working with Mayor Sly and typical GOP double crossing.

The fact is that Cathy Nugent is a mean spirited, nasty, "know it all." It's that simple. She has a bitchy attitude and no one wants to work with her. She has tried to be the Republican face on many things over the years but her despicable attitude always makes people run from her. This is not a power play by Sly James. Just people not wanting to work with a witch like her.

The proposal to bring the convention is going nowhere anyway and Nugent probably has milked it for all the cash she's going to get, so who cares?

I already talked to my rich uncle and KC has a chance of getting the convention like Charlie Manson does of getting paroled. From here on out KC is just doing what it does best and that is throwing money into a big black hole. I would be looking to see the convention head south.
ReplyDeleteThe convention is not coming to Kansas City. Missouri and Kansas are RED states. Why would the Republicans waste millions of PR for votes they already have. The convention will go to a swing state. Maybe even Pennsylvania
ReplyDeleteI've had the displeasure of being in two cities at the time of presidential conventions during the past two election seasons and all I can say is that the only winners are the local police departments as they end up with all sorts of new toys for keeping the proletariat in check. It's a fucking disaster for everyone else.
