As with all stories about these loan shops . . . We only sympathize with people who might not realize that banking system as a whole is much shakier than anybody realizes and it's only consumers who aren't "too big to fail" who face any real risk.

Did you read the story? That headline is completely misleading. The article tells of people who MADE their money in the online payday loan industry. Not BORROWED money from payday loans.

ReplyDeleteIt is also quite interesting to contrast the statements of the Catholic pastors benefiting from the largesse of payday lenders with the statement of the Catholic pastor whose parishioners are victims.
You wonder how they can belong to the same religion.
capitalism is disgusting and must be smashed immediately. also, most rich white people in kansas city have tons of dirt on their hands? remember back in the 60's when they were afraid of riots? thats because they knew they were exploiting the populations of color, they just thought they deserved to do it. same shit today. i have an aunt and uncle who live way above their education and means. the only way they got there was off the backs of the poor.
