How can this be? Nicastro went too far. She lost sight of her main task, working for the State of Missouri as Education Commissioner. She should not lobby for third parties.
Peter Herschend, your job is to oversee the Education Commission, not fix problems at the expense of validity.
Shameful.

Just another opportunity for adults to fight over money and over WHO is going to tell somebody else what to do about KCPS.
Superintendents, ACE, charter schools, no-bid contracts, employment, insider deals...it's never about the kids.
It's way past time for all the "community activists, nonprofits, consulting firms, equipment vendors, politicians, and all the other hangers-on to find other things to do and let the superintendent, staff, and teachers work on education.
It's little wonder the district has gone from 35,000 to 17,000 students.
With all the turmoil for decades any actual learning is purely by chance.
