  2. She's hookin' in Vegas12/18/13, 2:34 PM

She left of her own free will. Abducted=Missing, not a chronic runaway.

  5. I think the point of the story is that media may not care but that doesn't mean the community doesn't.

    It's an important lesson.

  6. Point is she RAN AWAY! Usually means you don't want to be found.

  13. Forget 4:29. You must be new to this blog. Tony panders big time to the trolls and haters that get their jollies by posting on this board.

Pretty much they sit around and watch for anything tangentially related to crime or race, so they can post their hate.

    Sad.

  16. Are the insensitive folks who made the rude comments about this girl for real? She's been missing for almost a month now! Also, are we absolutely sure she ran away? If that's truly the case, the "state facility" in question should have no problem handing over the video surveillance. To date, they have not. She may not have run away.

  17. Juli, Crittenton is not a state facility. It is privately owned and operated and the state at times contracts with the TREATMENT facility. It is not a jail or detention house. If this girl was in treatment and did not warrant being on lockdown, she could have walked away.
If the mother lost custody, which apparently she did, were her parental rights severed? Is she entitled to receive any information about the girl? What conditions caused the state to take this girl out of her home in the first place?
Missouri does not have a good track record of protecting children from abusive parents and bad home situations, so you can count on it that this girl wasn't removed from her home just because she ran away.
There is a lot more to this story than this mother is sharing. Crittenton, being a treatment and medical facility, cannot just "share" any information it chooses with the media without considering the privacy laws.
