'Tis the season of Kansas City tax write-offs along with proof that a great deal of local tech is really just glorified charity work: "Donate money (to Kansas City Start-Up Village) and receive a 75% state income tax credit as well as a deduction on your federal income taxes in the form of a charitable donation deduction."
