Kansas City Police Chase Coverage Reax

KSHB and all of the TV stations spent a lot of time on this last night . . . Police chase ends on east side of KCMO

And now . . .

CHECK THIS TKC READER REACTION TO THE COVERAGE:

"Your taking 15 minutes of a 30-minute broadcast to cover a car chase is ridiculous. It reminds me of an episode of "It's Like, You Know" in which the entire Los Angeles area shuts down to watch a car chase on TV. That was satire. You're supposed to be covering real news, like the weather change that I presume would have been covered had the weather not been one of the many things preempted by the car chase. Get a grip, folks. The car chase was worth about a sentence, not half your broadcast."

  1. Car chases always end on the Eastside. It's because the thief is usually some nigger, trying to get back to the hood...Never fails.

  2. Once again, television proves that it is the most douchebag of all news sources.

There's more hard news in this edition of TKC than there was on all local print and tv media in the last 24 hours put together.

  3. And on KCTV5 Brad Stephens and that blonde woman were saying the chase was in INDEPENDENCE while they were saying things like "the truck is now at 41st and Indiana in Independence." HUH?!?

  4. Turn. The. Channel. Takes less than 1 second, far less time than it took to bitch on Tony's KC about the damn police chase.

  5. 8:30 - Brad Stephens can make all the mistakes he wants. He is the HOTTEST anchor in KC!

  6. 10:23: It doesn't help to turn the channel. Two of the four "newscasts" Channels 5 and 41) were showing the car chase, and channel 9 thinks the evening ABC lineup for is news.
