THE SUPERINTENDENT AND THE SOCCER BOSS: A Newsmaker edition of KC Week in Review

This week we cast aside our regular reporter roundtable to bring you the superintendent of the Kansas City, Missouri School District, Dr. Steve Green.

The head of Kansas City, Missouri schools has been getting hit from all sides this week. Dr. Steve Green joins Nick Haines to give his take on a major Missouri Supreme Court ruling this week that permits students in the Show-Me-State to transfer out of unaccredited districts. But what does the ruling mean for the 16,000 students in his district?

Plus, Dr. Green responds to new revelations surrounding the Missouri Education Commissioner Chris Nicastro and secret plans to take over his school district.

Sporting success...

Also this week, Sporting Kansas City is the toast of the nation as it wins the MLS Cup. Nick Haines sits down with the club's CEO Robb Heineman and dissects the teams path to success.

(cc) Tony proves that even the residual soccer post championship stories are boring; tv guide guy is denounced and ridiculed for continuing to read tonys kc, and so early in the morning.
