Fight For Unaccredited KCPS Continues

Unions, neighborhood activists, and community leaders keep fighting to save an unaccredited district rather than working to establish something new: KC groups call on state school board to pull plug on CEE-Trust study

  1. Can you say, "Money-Grabbing Corruption"?

  2. Bill Eddy was on the Board during some of the most corrupt, back room dealing, crap that was going on at 1211 McGee. He should know what it is when he sees it, and does, but once again wants to ignore it. How is it open and honest when one of the bidders wrote, with DESE officials, the parameters of the job? In most jurisdictions that would be the work of a consultant who would not be able to bid on the job. And you certainly would not allow the DESE officials, VanDeven and Coffman, who collaborated with CEE-Trust when they wrote the job description, to be on the team who evaluated the bids. None of the bidders had as little experience as did Ethan Gray and his CEE-Trust. And where did Ethan Gray come from? Ask Aaron North and Big Shot Tom MacDonald at Kauffman. Guess who is a major contributor and "member" of CEE-Trust and its consortium---drum roll please--Kauffman Foundation. Also funded by the Gates Foundation--it was reported earlier today that Bill Gates made $11.5 BILLION THIS YEAR ALONE. Guess who is wanting to open a bunch more charter schools? Aaron North and Tom MacDonald, the white money bags from Kauffman who want to give up on the children that don't look like them, or have what they have. It makes me want to puke. Why don't you go back to Mission Hills and have Jeeves pour you a drink?

  3. My understanding is that the district obtained provisional accreditation, something several districts in Missouri and in the metro area have, yet were denied because this lady seems hell bent on taking over the KC district. Power hungry, bribery, I don't know what her deal is but bottom line is, the district did what was asked, earned accreditation but were denied that status. You have to ask yourself why...

  4. KC already has around 20 charter schools. Only a few are doing any better than the KCPS. The key thing is that you don't hear about these schools until they reach a point of such mismanagement that they can't even pay their bills.

CEE-Trust is simply going to convert KCPS into charter schools and then the problem just goes away regardless of whether the kids improve. You will just have 20+ more corrupt school boards around the city to deal with.
