Kauffman Center prepares for big New Year's Eve event

TKC fun fact . . . Wine discrimination from your betters in Kansas City . . .

A nice quote from those affiliated with the festivities . . .

"Like fight club, there is only one rule for Eve KC in this beautiful building. *Only applies to theaters - we still have red wine in the main hall"

Another look at the good life and entertainment beyond watching people party on TV . . .

A sneak peek from the peeps @ Quixotic offers a nice glimpse at the EPIC performances this evening . . .

All things considered, this party is a measure of Kansas City importance . . . Local big wigs will grace this place and their acolytes will pay a nice fee to make connections and join the EPIC party to finish 2013.

  1. No desire to go out to be with proles or the stuffed suits tonight.

    Boring

  2. The pictures looks really cool. Yeah who wants to be out with all those theater geeks. Maybe Michelle Newman can take some of her gal friends or partners to the gala. She fits right in with her lesbian friends, or is it thesbian friends.

  3. I'll be in the Men's room stickin' my tongue through the glory hole and taking care of all the drunks.

  4. $95.00 to see Dave Stephens play, talk about a rip off that's a &25 dollar ticket at best. See some really good groups cheaper than that. What's bad about this whole affair is the snobs who can afford the event are going to be on one sides of the room and the trash who can't afford it from Olathe and Raytown on the other side and all acting like they really want to be around one another. The one place to for sure not to be tonight.

  5. Kauffman Center is a great example of what happens when an architect is allowed to run free and design for his sake instead of the end user. Wonderful space for music accoustically but the beautiful staircase is a joke for a crowd using it and the all-white design already looks 10-years old regardless of the unfortunate and stupid red wine prohibition.

  6. Yup a bog bash for the elite, rented tux, over 50 impotent crowd. Free Champagne and Viagra for all.

The real movers and shakers in town won't be at this event. They will be at the Kansas City Country Club, Carriage Club, Indian Hills and their homes in Mission Hills and Hallbrook having parties that the riff raff can't attend. The Wilsons/Glazers/Harleys/Bones and Washington's and those types won't be invited to those parties. No, those of the wannabe crowd and their likes are the ones who will be there at Eve KC tonight and tomorrow morning they will be basking in the glow of the whole event and gushing to all about how great it was as they try and figure out how to feed the kids the rest of the month on the few dollars they have left over from such a stupid unaffordable event that still leaves them living in the same dump as yesterday.

  11. I don't care who comes to the event. I'll blow 'em all. AND swallow.

  12. I'm going. Hopefully theres a fat bitch there that I can bring home and fuck all night.

  13. It is now being reported that white fat ass women will be at this event and Tony has changed from his regular celebrating stint with a chunky of his choosing along James street to attending this fat ass feast. That will be all.

  15. Jazz played on a guitar and ukelele. Now that is something I want to pay $300 bucks to hear. I hope that Homer Stump and the Ozark Jug Band makes a surprise appearance at midnite..
    Stayin' classy K.C.

  16. Hey it's the Dave Stephens band sure he will play this event simply because nobody else wanted his ass or anyone he will drag along with him to act like they can play. This clowns 30 seconds of fame was burned up long before Louie Andersons was.

  17. A perfect excuse for amateurs and idiots to play like they're somebody. AND the po' man's Cirque de Olay...Kwiksotic. Talk about a one trick pony. Horrid.

  18. Dave Stephens is performing with Quixotic?
