This weekend Kansas City exploded in deadly violence that embroiled every civic institution . . . Recently, activist Alonzo Washington offered a direct and profound statement on the tragic local trend.
Alonzo Washington says: "We as black and white people must unite to stop the murders & violence in KC."
KC's Latino Community has its own problems with violence that includes undocumented domestic assaults . . . Mr. Washington's call for peace truly speaks to every part of Kansas City.
Additionally, Mr. Washington has revealed EXCLUSIVE details of the ongoing "fight club" problem in KCK schools that also crosses over into KC Proper as well . . . Revealing that locals learn violence in Kansas City at a very young age.
Again, Mr. Washington deserves recognition for his continued activism and work as one of Kansas City's most consistent and outspoken advocates against local violence.
What many have tried isn't working. Maybe it's time to try something new.
