JUST ANOTHER KANSAS CITY PUBLIC EDUCATION FAIL COMPILATION!!!

I got other stuff I want to deal with but I would be remiss if I didn't note recent tragic developments on the topic of Kansas City Public Schools . . .

Check it:

- Charter School Faking It: Suspicions raised about Hope Academy’s reportedly strong attendance

- Mayor Sly Still Wants To Be Superintendent: Mayor James takes on education in KC

- Mayor Sly Talks Schools And Reading: Improvise, Adapt & Overcome: An honest discussion about education reform.

- Pass This One Along: KCTV5 Investigates: Schools rarely hold back failing students

The lesson here is that local optimists shouldn't hold their breath while waiting for a public education turnaround that has taken more than 30 years to materialize  . . .

  2. Gee I wonder what most of the administration and students have in common? That's right. They are all Irish.

Please don't forget that the KCPS Board Chair, Airick Leonard West, had a warrant for his arrest outstanding until Monday.

He only paid his fines AFTER this website publicized his irresponsibility and failure to be accountable for his actions.

Today, Wednesday November 6, is DAY 3 and Mr. West has yet to resign from the Board. He is indicating to the KCPS staff and students that you can shirk your responsibility and there are no consequences! Teachers, why work hard? Students, why attend class or do homework?

We will continue this count day-by-day until Mr. West experiences a moral breakthrough and begins to lead by example through resigning his post.

  4. None of those stories are about the Kansas City Public Schools. The school faking its attendance is a CHARTER school not affiliated with the KCPS. The channel 5 retention story focused on Independence and mentioned several other districts, none were KCPS. And the mayor's initiative is for ALL schools in the area - there are 10 or more school districts in the city limits.

Nice try at slamming the KCPS, Tony. But you fail.

  8. Students need to lots of practice in case of custom writing service smartcustomwriting.com. At a same time, they can follow a professional’s guideline to make their writing worthy in actual sense.
